1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoWhen do you give a thumbs up, or thumbs down?
I usually don't give either one. But if someone seems to have put a lot of thought into an answer (even if it opposes what I believe) and if the answer does not give absolutely false information, then I give it a thumbs up. If the answer insults the person asking, or does not attempt to answer the question then I give it thumbs down.

3 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoDo you think Sprint's Pricing plans are purposely misleading?
We got a Sprint phone for our daughter with UNLIMITED TEXT...
BUT, then we found out that this did not include pictures.. so we got UNLIMITED for that too...
BUT, then we found out that there is also a PER Megabyte charge!...
Then our daughter went away for the summer and the TEXT will not work where she went.. Sprint told us that they would not bill us for the two months and she could use unlimited talk...
NOW they want to bill us about $900 for the time our daughter has used.. even though we have called several times to make sure our bill was only a very small amount...
Has anything like this happened to you? They tell you one thing and then charge something else?
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoDo you think that Virginia School's 'No Touching' rule should be stricken down?
Virginia schools have a rule that does not allow touching of any kind.. no handshakes, no hugs, no pats on the back.. nothing...
Their reasons seem to be that SOME handshakes are gang signs.. too many students gathering to do HIGH FIVEs in the hallways causes congestion..
I think that the schools should deal with their problems and not restrict the students choice of expression.

It is hereditary for my family to only have 28 teeth instead of 32.
2 AnswersBiology1 decade agoDid you try to answer the "Evolution" question after it was removed?
I followed the link.. and found the following:
Creationists strongly dispute the fact that there is overwhelming support for evolution in the science community. One of the first attempts to provide evidence that there were substantial number of scientists who disagreed with evolution was a pamphlet produced by the Institute for Creation Research in 1971 entitled "21 Scientists Who Believe in Creation"[45] This pamphlet has been reprinted several times. Skeptics have claimed that this list of 21 creation supporters is misleading since it includes 3 people with PhD's in education, 2 in theology, 5 in engineering, 1 in physics, 1 in chemistry, 1 in hydrology, 1 in entomology, 1 in psycholinguistics 1 in food science technology, 2 in biochemistry, 1 in ecology, 1 in physiology and 1 in geophysics, and therefore most of their backgrounds might not give them much authority in evolutionary biology.[46][47]
Really sounds like people well versed in the requirements of Evolution <NOT!>
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow many in here would like to have the option to /ignore others in here so you don't see their Q & A's?
I know several people that I don't care to see their questions or their answers as they provide no new insights (I consider them just "hate" answers). And I know most of the Wiccans would prefer to block me from answering *GriN*

2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoDid you know that FDOT (Federal Department of Transportation) required tiny black boxes...?
in all new cars sold in the USA starting in 1995...
These tiny boxes continuously record any sounds from the interior of the vehicle and hold the last 10 seconds in case of an accident which deploys the air bags...
In 2005 FDOT completed a 10 year study of the results... they found that in 49 of the 50 states there was one most common phrase found from that 10 second recording... "OH Sh*T!"...
But, for the vehicles studied in Texas .. the most common phrase was "Here, hold my beer.. I'm gonna try something!"
4 AnswersJokes & Riddles1 decade agoHow do I get rid of bubbles in the tape on sheet rock?
I just remodeled my garage into a room and when I taped the joints in the sheet rock I got a few bubbles in the tape. Is there an easy way to get rid of these? I thought of cutting the bubbles open and putting in some glue, and then I thought that I would give someone a chance to get 10 points before I did that.
8 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoHow long could two people survive under water while going up to the surface?...?
Imagine two people (person A and person B) hundreds of feet below water with only one breath of air between them...
Person A has a breath of air right as they start toward the surface at a fast pace...
At some point person A has to exhale.. so they join lips and person B breathes IN the air that person A exhales...
then when person B needs to exhale.. person A breathes it in...
etc...

7 AnswersSwimming & Diving1 decade agoDo you think that Religious fanatic terrorist leaders are holding out for something better?
Those who believe in suicide bombings think that they will receive a great reward in Heaven. So why don't the leaders do it too? The only ones I've seen on television who even tried to kill others with a bomb were those who were caught already. Have I missed some important part of this religion? Do the leaders of those who have sacrificed themselves get a greater reward?

33 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy don't I have as much time to answer questions since I made level 5?
Before making lvl 5 I could almost always answer up to my limit... but since then I have trouble most days to find the time to answer even 20 questions!!... (level 5 is where your can answer unlimited questions, so I KNOW that I won't answer them all!)
did this happen to you?
3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoDoes it seem to you that a large portion of the questions here are just disguised insults?
I think that I will stop reading the questions that seem weird or insulting, or contain profane language and just concentrate on the ones that seem genuine...
does that seem reasonable to you?
