This is a question for Christians, Jews and Muslims. I never understand whether people self-identifying with these religions believe in just (any) one God or in their (own) particular one God. If they all believe in the same God, it shouldn't be a problem, should it?

I looked him up on Wikipedia and it is all completely unintelligible to me. I believe if you can't express something simply and clearly, then it doesn't really mean anything.

I've got a adsl line connected to a wireless router. i've stopped the router broadcasting my network name (SID) but the router tells me I keep getting dos attacks in the late evening. are these dos attacks coming from other pcs which are trying to connect to my wireless router or are they coming down the phone line (adsl)? where are they coming from? the router firewall doesn't seem to help. during the attacks my internet slows down so much, it's not worth it any more. what's going on and what can I do against it? (I posted this in the wrong forum earlier - security).

I want to buy a second hand diesel Kangoo. Some of them are 1.9l but with only 60hp. Some engines are smaller but have more hp. Can anyone explain the relation between engine size and hp in diesel cars? Is there an advantage in just having a 1.9l engine but with low hp?

Say there are 5 courses but you have to do the first course before the second, and the second before the third, etc. Meaning you have to do them in sequence. What do we call these kinds of courses? In universities at undergraduate or postgraduate level, is a big difference made between science and engineering subjects? Can you have the same subject - but have an engineering take on it and a scientific take on it?

I've seen an amazing stag's head oak tree at least 7 foot in diameter. I have a feeling it's about 500 years old. I said this to a farmer and he laughed in my face and said it was 1 to 2 thousand years old but I can't believe that. So who's right?

I live and work in Europe but have a savings account in pounds in the UK. The pound has lost 13% against the Euro recently. Is the pound likely to go up again or drop even further? Any currency speculators out there see the writing on the wall?

I.e. who organises and allocates physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychology sessions and other non-material resources on an inpatient basis? I need the name of the person/ department for a translation I'm doing.
