I understand that Popes rarely EVER say or do anything that the church considers infallible, but does anyone know if Pope Benedict ever said/did anything like this?

Here's the situation:

You've started a great job... It lasts all summer, but it's in another state. Now, you've had this friend that you've really liked for a while now, and you've FINALLY just gotten together with him (online... communicating via video chat). He lives in yet another state, but things are supposed to get serious with him.

Are you supposed to cancel the job, and go be with him immediately, or stay at the great job, and THEN go see him when the job concludes? (let's say in a few months)

Does Facebook still email you about new inbox messages? Can anyone confirm this?

Do they make regular clothes that are sort of in the style of a wedding dress? (see the highlighted part of this image below)

Here's the situation:

Let's say just yesterday, you FINALLY got together with this man. You've had a crush on him all year, and pursued him for months... and now, last night, you FINALLY smooched for the first time. You're on Cloud 9.

Now the question: In a few months, you were planning to go spend 5 1/2 months in another state, working a temporary job that you've had your heart set on for a long time. (a kind of dream job, at a vacation ranch.) If you do this, your brand new boyfriend will visit you for a few weeks, but you'll essentially be apart from him for about half a year. But that dream job is there...

Could you do this?

Just wondinering if it makes sense to say that some (or many?) pure-bred Kiwis say "Mom" sometimes (as opposed to "Mum").

I'm working on a novel, and have a question about a certain line. I'm just wondering if this phrase sounds like something you would hear from an Ebonics speaker (looking for answers from people who know, if possible):

"Where does it says I live at?"

Nevermind what the sentence *means*. I'm essentially wondering if "does it says" is a realistic use of ebonics or not. I have a hunch that it isn't, but... not sure.

Also, is it likely that a computer gamer who sometimes uses Linux would misspell the word "grammar" and spell it "grammer"? Is that a word likely to be gotten wrong? (this would be a young adult who uses Ebonics)

Just wondering if one can expect most Ebonics-speakers to type Ebonics too, such as in emails. Please, I'm only asking those who know first-hand. (I can't make any use of assumptions). Thanks!

Can someone confirm if these sentences use REAL ebonics or not? (need to know if these exact words I'm using are correct or not, for a novel I'm working on).

"It's likes 6am over there."

"Wasn't you going to the store?"

I have a sneaking suspicion that ebonics speakers don't actually say "It's likes" and "Wasn't you", but I'm not sure...

Just wondering if anyone knows of any forces/corporations/etc that have left large numbers of families on the streets. (Kind of like when the RIAA sued tons of families that downloaded music illegally, except that I'm uncertain what actually became of those families)

I've read that the RIAA was suing tons of families a couple years back, but it's difficult to dig up what actually ended up happening.

Did these families end up on the streets, or were they sued only minorly? (ie, required to pay a "smaller" amount of cash that wouldn't necessarily put them on the streets?)

1: Can corporations "own" their own patents?

2: If the answer is yes, who inherits those patents when the corporation dies?

I was just wondering what you married people think of sex now vs. what you thought when you were teens. Do you think it's overrated? Did you expect it to be some big life-changing thing before you experienced it, but now it's more subtle?

I'm working on an article about teen views of sex, and am just wondering what you people think about this.
