I have been forced to sue my step-brother (long story) I filed the papers and he has filed a response. Do I still need to file to show he has been served? Or does his response serve as evidence he has received the intent to sue. Now that he has responded and a date is set for a hearing, do I just needed file my additional information that will be needed/use as my proof of my case? Or do I have any other steps that I am missing, or forms that I need to submit? I can see online that I should be paying about $50.00-$75.00 for a Paralegal or $200-$300 for a lawyer is this accurate for Canada? If you are up to negotiation and up to nailing my step-brothers crooked a@@ to the wall; Would you be interested in helping me get my money that is due?

In Small Claims court in Ontario Canada, if you file suit and send the paperwork by registered mail; How many days do you have to wait before you can go file your Form 8A: Affidavit of Service? I can see the law was amended Jan 2011. I'm not sure if it is still 20 days from the day following Service. I get that the count starts the day after service and does not including weekends or holidays. Is this still 20 days correct or is it now 30 days? The info I can find is not very clear. Also I have additional paperwork to prove the case I filed for etc... Do I need to add it to the file before I show proof of service, can I add it at the time I show proof or can I just bring it to court if things get that far. - Please only answer if you are a Canadian Lawyer. I remember the tin had a gold ring around the label and the label was a burgundy colour. Does anyone remember this cake? Does anyone know where I can buy it? They show they accept credit cards but it is via Google Purchases but when I try to do look-ups for them I cant seem to see any info on the net for them. Their BBB on their website doesn't connect to anything. Is this too good to be true? Can anyone give me any info ~ Thanks

A scam known as the Hitman e-mail that tries to get people to pay money to call off a supposed contract killing is right here in our home towns. Police have received three reports of e-mails that imply the sender has been hired to kill them and that they will reveal the identity of who ordered the hit for money.

Hi Everyone, Was the victim of a scam/fraud by a company using the name datastarsinc.com, once I was onto them and threathened them with the police they turned off their site and cell phones. Two days later they came back as startmedicinc.com Again this is a fraud.

Please call and you will be told to e-mail them with your details. They are claiming that they have not received any complaints about this site, that I was the first. I find this extremely hard to believe, as there are far too many of us out there that lost money or almost lost money.

I have a lot of agencies on alert and was able to help at least two others that I know of not get ripped off. Are you a recent victim, please let me know so I can get your details to the authorities. I need to know what the name the person you were told to wire the money to is/was? What was the name of the person on the e-mail? And what name did the site use on the internet? Lets work together to shut these slimmy people down.
