2 AnswersJapan1 decade agoHow do you get a 5 year old boy to overcome a fear of pooping because of pain?
He refuses to eat to the point of emaciation, and has bowel movements only once a week if lucky. The stool is incredibly hard and the size of rabbit droppings. Nothing works. His fear of pain is so great he works himself up into a frenzy of panic when he knows it's coming. Please help! He fears suppositories as well.
6 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoAre people marrying animals in the Netherlands?
Once again, in an argument regarding civil unions and marriage, I was told that in some countries where gay unions are recognized, people are now wedding the animal kingdom. I'm looking for links to FACTS, not rumor or opinions.
6 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoDid Caeser have a civil union with a horse?
I know this question sounds ridiculous. I have a very conservative friend and we had a discussion about marriage and civil unions. He claimed that Julius Caeser had a civil union with a HORSE. I wasn't even aware that civil unions existed one thousand years ago. Can anyone tell me if this is true, or if not, what he might have been thinking of?

2 AnswersMusic1 decade agoA question for people still in high school.. regarding dating?
I graduated in 1995 and NO ONE in my school was openly gay.
By the time my cousin graduated in 2001, some kids in high school were coming out.
My question is this: In 2007, if a student identifies themselves as "gay", can they still be popular, or have they cut themselves off from the jocks, preps, and popular girls/guys?
Just wondering if the attitudes have evolved...
8 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoHas anyones family ever been threatened by a gay person?
There is a lot of talk about it, well not right now because there isn't an election, but otherwise there would be. I'm just wondering what the basis is for statements like "gay marriage threatens the American Family" I mean, do gay couples bring WMD's into the suburban neighborhoods or something? I'm a little confused, because I've never heard of a gay man going out and threatening families...
10 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoIs the concept of an album dead?
WIth music being reduced to nothing more than a file to be downloaded and played on mp3 players, is this a looming reality?
As a child of the 80's, I am a huge fan of the whole package. The cd sleeve art, the linear notes, the lyrics, the whole physical-ness of it.
I use iTunes, of course, but it bothers me to think that we soon won't need newspapers, books, DVD's, or CD's, everything will be digital.
Then, a million years from now, aliens will come to Earth, and there will be no remains of our vast knowledge and creativity.. it will all have been lost when the electricity went out...
8 AnswersMusic1 decade agoIs it true more people voted for American Idol in 2004 than the Presidential election?
Here is my beef with this theory: On Idol you can vote as much as often as you choose, in political elections, you can only vote once. So when Seacrest says "We had 35 million votes last night" that doesn't mean 35 million people. In fact, you can even use your computer to continually redail for two hours and place an unlimited amount of votes.
When considering this, isn't it a completely inaccurate statement to say more people voted for Idol?
11 AnswersTelevision1 decade agoWhy does emotional stress make our tear ducts react?
I uderstand why we have tear ducts when it comes to keeping the eye lubricated, and removing irritants, and I also understand that under stressful situations our body can raise it's hear rate (fear) or get sweaty palms (nervous), but I don't understand the link between sadness/stress/emotional strain and lubrication of the eyeballs... ??? What the heck? Why do our tear ducts react to emotion?
