  • Why won't my girlfriend let me name my son Kratos?

For years now, I have wanted to name my first born son after the video game character, Kratos, from the God of War series. Long story short, he's a bad ***; kills Greek gods and such. My girlfriend is not a fan of the idea, and I would like to know why.

  • Pick a song title that best describes your childhood?

Well, R&P, pick a song title from any band that best describes your childhood.

For me, its "I Was a Teenage Anarchist" by Against Me!

Social Distortion just announced a show near my hometown and I'm really excited to go to a show put on by such pioneers in my favorite music genre. Ive heard a few of their songs, and I just wanted your opinions on which albums I should listen to.

  • Questions about my "new" 1979 Honda CM400A?

    Hello!

I am about to change the oil for my first time in my 1979 Honda CM400 and I just wanted your advice as to what kind (10W-30, 5W-30, etc) of oil to put in and how much.

I was also wondering how often I should change the transmission fluid and clean the carburetor.

Also, a link to where to find out more information like this would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks for the time.

  • 1979 Honda CM400A tail light out?

    Hello

I just bought a 1979 Honda CM400A Hondamatic as my first bike. Spent $350 on it and it runs like a charm.

However, I was riding home from work today and I got pulled over for having my tail light out. My confusion is that the light comes on when I get on the brake, but it doesn't stay on after I let off the brake.

Is there any way to fix the light so that it stays on when I am not stopped?

    Thanks!

  • Bands that sound similar to Rise Against?

    Hello R&P

I am looking for bands that sound similar to Rise Against. By that I mean deep, meaningful lyrics with fast, often frantic instrumentals and a kind of yelling (but NOT screaming, I often find screaming distasteful) voice.

I am very picky, so make sure your answers actually fit my criteria.

  • Wireless Card Compatibility?

    Hello all!

I am what most of you would call a computer novice, so bear with me here.

I have a laptop with Windows Vista and a fried motherboard, but it came with a wireless internet card that works great. My "new" laptop, an IBM Thinkpad with XP has a crappy P.O.S. wireless card. I was wondering if the old computer's wireless card could be transferred to the "new" one I have.

    Thanks

  • If bands like All Time Low are considered punk...?

...then what do people call bands like Rise Against, Rancid, Against Me! or Dropkick Murphys?

All Time Low is as far from punk as you can get, yet people call them punk, so what are bands like I just listed considered? Just wondering...

  • "We get by just fine here on minimum wage"?

I'm wondering what your favorite songs are about making the best out of what little you have.

Basically what I'm asking here is for your favorite song about having very little but not caring b/c you love and cherish everything you DO have even more.

Mine? Well, obviously it's Swing Life Away by Rise Against. Close second: Survive, also by Rise Against

Sorry, I'm listening to them a lot tonight ;-D

  • How can Paramore be thought of as the best band ever?

Alright, so I was reading another person's question ( http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgYFV... ) and not 1, not 2, but THREE people picked Paramore.

How is that even possible? Seriously, they are an awful band that creates even worse "music." I'll admit, the chick is hawt, but that's ALL they have going for them.

  • Best Current Female Rock Singer?

    Hello R&P!!

I am asking you who you think the best female rock singer singer is. Please, if anyone says Hayley from Paramore or chick from Flyleaf, you will be mocked and ridiculed. Also, INCLUDE A LINK TO THEIR BEST SONG!

My choice: Brody Dalle/Armstrong (she was married to Tim Armstrong from Rancid at the time she recorded the song I included) of The Distillers and now of Spinnerette.

Song: The Young Crazed Peeling - The Distillers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWvmWxAUn8g

  • Bands like Rammstein?

    Hello R&P

I am looking for ENGLISH singing bands that sound like Rammstein.

I love the low growly, but not screaming, singing style of Til, as well as the heavy, but not repetitive riffs on the guitars. Not to mention the "there just enough" keyboarding of Flake.

I am basically looking for bands that sing in English that have that same kind of sound.

  • American/British/English-Speaking Bands That Sound Like Rammstein?

Alright guys, I have a bit of a challenge for you

I normally like punk music, but there are a few exceptions I make, one of them being Rammstein. I want bands that have kind of growly, but not screaming, lyrical style and the same sort of not show-offy guitaring, but with the lyrics in English.
