Wireless Card Compatibility?
Hello all!
I am what most of you would call a computer novice, so bear with me here.
I have a laptop with Windows Vista and a fried motherboard, but it came with a wireless internet card that works great. My "new" laptop, an IBM Thinkpad with XP has a crappy P.O.S. wireless card. I was wondering if the old computer's wireless card could be transferred to the "new" one I have.
Thanks

You might be able to if it fits in the slot and screws in the same places. The easiest way to find out is to open them both up and take the Wireless cards out. They are usually located in a compartment on the bottom of the laptop. Unscrew the cover, then unscrew the the wireless card and pull the connection out. Do the same with your new laptop and switch them. If they fit then congrats, if they don' then sorry it wont work.
