  • Does roasting a pig whole result in a different flavor experience than roasting the parts individually?

Does it make a difference if you roast the whole pig on a spit, or chop it up and roast the pieces individually? Wouldn't it be faster to cook the pieces separately, but does that sacrifice flavor?

This question could also apply to Turkeys and Chicken I suppose, since I haven't really seen anyone roast an entire cow.

  • Which processor is best for gaming: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200, AMD Athlon X2 7750, or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+?

I am building a new PC for playing Left4Dead and Starcraft 2 (if it ever comes out). Is 4 cores always better than 2 cores? What is the correlation between # of cores and processor speed - 2.33GHz for the quad and 2.7GHz for the dual?

  • Health and Wedding Stress?

I recently got my Blood Pressure checked and it's much higher than it was last year. Having recently gotten engaged, could the added stress of planning the wedding adversely affected my blood pressure? Has anyone else noticed an increase in blood pressure after getting engaged? Is wedding planning really that stressful?

  • Surprise Birthday Party for Fiance?

I am trying to plan a surprise party for my fiance. I normally like to do fairly big things for her birthday. Last year, I took her to and art exhibit and then Atlantic City for the weekend. My question is: should I try to keep the same budget as last year, or tone it down this year because we are trying to save for the wedding?

Secondly, are there any suggestions? Anyone know of a nice lounge to throw this in NYC?

  • Song for my bride played on the piano?

I would like to play a song on the piano for my bride at the reception. What song would sound good when played on the piano? I am looking for a song that sounds good when played by itself with no accompaniment because there will be no backup instruments and I won't be singing. When providing suggestions, please provide as much info as possible:

    1) Song Name

    2) Artist

    3) Level of difficulty

Or should I try to compose an original piece for this occassion?

  • Wedding Sabers only for Military?

My fiance and I are not in the military, but I have several officers and enlisted men in our family. We were interested in doing something similar to Wedding Sabers (Swords) for our wedding reception. We wouldn't copy the exact formal protocol as the Army does it, but still would like to use swords and to an extent, include the bridesmaids and bouquets. Does anyone know if this is allowed, or if would it be wrong to do this?

  • Help! I'm addicted!?

    Hello fellow answerers,

I originally logged onto Yahoo Answers! because I had a question about my upcoming wedding. As days went on, I noticed the points associated to the account. Since my initial question, I find myself monitoring the Wedding section throughout the entire workday looking for new questions! It's the same mentality as those people that play online games (like World of Warcraft). I answer questions to get more points so that I can make it to the next level so that I can ask more questions! I enjoy reading and answering because it gives me different points of view regarding my own wedding. But I wonder where the limit is. I've hit my answer per day limit a few times already! Where does it stop? Am I addicted?

  • How long after the wedding to start a family?

I know that this is entirely dependent on my fiance and I and our relationship, but I figured I'd just see what people thought (that plus I've hit my limit for answers for today). My fiance and I are in our mid to late 20's, stable promising careers, and both know that we would like a family. How long after our wedding before we start a family? Do we spend some time being newlyweds, or proceed towards parenthood at the honeymoon? How long after the first til the second?

  • Photos during Cocktail Hour?

My fiance and I are currently undecided between dinner and lunch receptions. If all factors are equal, we would go with dinner, but with lunch, we save almost 40% and have a better choice of available dates. However, the earliest we can start our ceremony at the Church is 10 AM. We assume the Mass will take about an hour. It takes 30 minutes to get to the reception area. The latest we can start the cocktail hour is 12 noon, which leaves us basically 30 minutes for pictures at the Church and pictures at the reception venue. We have about 45 guests in our wedding entourage (10 bridesmaids, 10 groomsmen, 4 flower girls, 4 ringbearers, sponsors, family, etc). Will we have enough time to take all the outside pictures without eating too much time away from cocktail hour?

  • Bachelor Party Question 2: Too late for strippers....?

I've been reading through several questions regarding Bachelor Parties and strippers and the resounding answer has basically been "Bachelor parties have the old fashioned notion that the guy has one last night to 'sow his wild oats'. If a guy is engaged, all his wild oats should have already been sown." and that basically, all that stuff should have been done before we started dating. My question is: Do you really expect people to act like they do in the movies (love at first sight) and know you are going to marry a girl once you start dating? Or is it that you "sow your oats" right before you propose? I feel that there isn't a clear line between simply dating, finding that you really like the person, and getting into a relationship. Its more of a gradual process as the relationship gets more serious. Isnt the wedding the clear line to say, "OK, I am yours forever"? Isn't that why bachelor parties happen right before the wedding?

  • Setting limits for the Bachelor's Party?

I recently got engaged to my fiance. Last night, the question came up about my bachelor party. We both have preconceived notions of what the limits should be. First off, I love my wife to be very much and can't wait to settle down and begin our lives together. Prior to seriously dating her, I lived a fairly wild life and come from a more open background than she does. Her limit is that of "look, but don't touch", where touching is considered cheating. My definition is intercourse or oral. Having been to a strip club before, to me, lap dances are pretty meaningless. Her perception of a strip club is more akin to a brothel. Any attempts to tell her how it really is gets brushed off. How can we discuss this productively? Its not that I feel the need to get a lap dance, but I dont want to be told what I cant do. I want to just be able to confront the issue when it presents itself, and be able say goodbye to that part of my life and move on with her.
