1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Products6 years agoI wonder who owns all those steep hillsides where these fires seem to pop up?
I honestly thought there was a law that property owners had to keep the brush cut down to avoid those fires. Isn't that right ?Does most of that property belong to a government entity ?
BTW- Thanks to DR, OM, Cope, Mark, Slick Ric for responding to my last question a week or so ago. You guys ROCK.
4 AnswersLos Angeles7 years agoHave they selected the homeless person who will be blamed for this years' wild fires yet ?
I know no one saw these wild fires coming. Here's an idea- pay
unemployed and homeless people minimum wage to cut friggin brush.

6 AnswersLos Angeles8 years agoOK, so I want to ask a question about something in the Los Angeles area but?
I actually live in the Los Angeles area ( well I actually spend most of my time here anyway unless I am doing something that's not in Los Angeles) and I don't want to be cited for posting a non-travel question in the Yahoo answers "travel" section. But my question is about something where it wouldn't involve like traveling per se, to or from something and I wouldn't actually be personally driving like a car, or taking a subway, airplane and so forth. And I don't like walking that much, well i guess flats would be OK, but not in heels and so forth for obvious reasons. Well some of those weird Hollywood boulevard type guys would "get it" I guess. Anywho,
I have seen a whole pile of objections and reports to the upper muckity mucks and powers that be, where people are posting questions that get a response like "This is not a travel question" or "You should post this in the section of this website on "Gender Reassignment" or something like that. Not that one exactly, I just made that up as a crazy example. So how far do you have to actually travel for it to be a good verified question in the travel section. Like once I wanted to know if you could still use the parking lot at the Getty Museum when work was being done on the 405. So I was then kinda sure that might be legit for the travel section. But I also added a part asking what time it closed. And sure enough some so and so said that really wasn't concerning travel but just hours of operation, so the whole dam n question was objected to and thrown out. I actually got an official formal notification from one of Terry Semel's underlings about the matter and a recitation about "community guidelines" or some such. But anyway, if your question isn't about actually moving to something, how far do you have to move to be officially traveling. Like if I am in LA County do I have to ask a question about Orange or Kern County for it to count as traveling ??? But my question isn't really about that anyway, but about how I'm going to get to a thing in Los Angeles. So can you say the question about that without a whole pile of repercussions.
Hold on ---phone !!!
Nevermind I got a ride.

7 AnswersLos Angeles10 years agoWill you regulars please contribute your 2011 dumbest LA Travel question?
It's almost the end of the year and time for the " 2011 top ten dumbest questions of the year" list.I would like to request that LA Travel regulars e-mail me their selection for the dumbest question that they have seen on the site this year. You will get the discovery credit and if there are more than ten good ones I will make the list longer. Thanks. Such as "How much does it cost to fly to Los Angeles" ---no other information given. This list is usually at least mildly humorous.
10 AnswersLos Angeles10 years agoHey Guys, OK, so like I heard about Cali being super good and everything and I'm almost 15 and a half. I'll?
be 16 in like 6 months or so. Then I'll get my license, (doing "learners" now) and then I'll be ready to go to the West Coast. My Mom is threatening to ground me. I had a friend, Cara, who did this after junior year, but I want to do this now because I saw my shedule and there is no way Chemistry and Geometry are going to be good to my acting career (maybe, singing). Anyway, Cara said it's important to get a good agent and stage name and I want to get a good one, so what I need to know.. opps, finish later, G2G my BFF just texted me......Yeah, this is super good, she said I got Ms. Clark for homeroom....
