  • Proper thank you for dinner?

My boss and his wife have invited my fiance and I out to dinner at a nice steakhouse. I am assuming that by inviting us, they will be picking up the tab.

I want to thank them for their hospitality and thought of bring along a bottle of expensive wine to the dinner. Is this a proper thing to do?

I do understand that people have different tastes in wine as well. I also wonder if it would be better to give them the bottle after dinner so they dont feel like they have to drink it that evening if it does not pair well with their respective meals.

    Advice please?

  • How can I get my puppy to stop wetting the bed?

I have a 15 week old Labrador puppy. We thought we had reached the point of being housebroken/crate trained since we hadnt had an accident inside the house for over a month.

Earlier in the week we bought him a nice dog bed for use outside the crate, so he can lay on the floor in the living room. He has been laying in the bed every evening since we got it. Last night I looked over at him and he was squating and peeing on the new bed. So we washed the bed and decided that it was an isolated incident.

A bit earlier tonight the same thing happened. I looked over to him squating and peeing on the freshly washed bed.

Why is this happeneing? How can we make him stop permanently?

We let him out for potty every few hours and he is able to hold his bladder for atleast 7 hours, so I know that he has sufficient bladder control.

Usually if he needs to potty he will go and sit by the door and wait for us to open it.

I am becoming frustrated and really would like some help on this.

  • Hawaii Destination Wedding?

Has anyone been to or been a part of a destination wedding? What are the pros and cons vs a traditional ceremony. Our families live hundreds of miles apart and a traditional wedding location would be hard to decide upon. Also, we are not religious. I was thinking of a small destination wedding, with about 30 people or so. Any comments?

  • How do I get rid of spiders in my car? And keep them from coming back?

This is totally weird but my car seems to attract spiders. I've had the car for 4 years now and every few months I find a spider in my car. In the last two weeks I have found 4 large spiders, including a black widow in my car. My car is kept clean and I dont park near any bushes or trees so I dont know how they get into my car.

I either spray or squish them, but they really freak me out and lately I am afraid to even drive my car at night. Does anyone have any solutions to this bizaar issue?

  • Unusual birth control side effect?

This is kind of an odd question. I was on birth control pills a few years ago for a year and noticed that while I was on it I got very tight down there, so tight that sexual activity was almost painful. I talked to my Dr. and she said that was nothing to worry about. Recently I have started another oral birth control (different from the first) and have noticed the same side effect but to a lesser degree. Has anyone else experianced this or any other odd side effect? Is there anything (besides not taking the pill) that will make it go away? Thanks!

  • How do two busy people in a relationship make it work?

My boyfriend and I are both in our 20's and are both in college and working as well. We are in a totally great mutally-loving relationship and I think he is The One. When we started dating he was working and I was only going to college so we had more time for each other. A couple weeks ago he started back to school and I am starting an internship. Obviously we have less time for each other now, and we both agreed that we were commited to making our relationship work with our crazy schedules. My question is this- how do busy couples make the most of their time and keep the relationship healthy? Any personal experiances would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

  • Cramps during first month of using birth control pill?

I just started a new birth control pill after being off my old one for a couple years due to side effects. I am currently on week 4 (placebo week) of my pill. This whole month I have had a lot of cramps kinda like the kind I used to get prior to starting my period, except these lasted all month long and practically every day. Has anyone else experianced this and will it go away after a few month? Thanks!

  • How do I help my body digest food?

Lately whenever I eat a normal portion of food my stomach is full for hours on end. Its like my stomach isnt digesting. An example of such- last weekend I ate a medium-sized hamburger about 4pm and the next morning I was still full, kinda feeling like I had gorged myself to death. I wonder if the stuff in my digestive tract is a bit off. Does anybody have any methods or know of something to take or food that would help remedy this problem?

  • Did I screw up my birth control?

I am restarting my birth control pills after being off them for several years. According to the instructions, you are supposed to take the first pill within 24 hours of starting your period. I didnt read the instructions till this morning and it was about 30 hours into my period. So I took the first pill anyways. Since I took the pill a little late, should I wait longer before assuming that they are effective? My Dr. said to wait two weeks, I wonder if I should wait three to be safe. Any suggestions?

  • Are new low dose birth control pills as effective as the old type?

My Dr prescribed a low estrogen and prog. pill for me (based on a family history of breast cancer) and it made me curious if the lower dosages are as effective as the older higher dose pills.

  • How do I get my boyfriend to stop "chewing"?

My boyfriend of 2 months recently disclosed that he chews tobacco. He said that he would work at stopping but so far he hasnt been successful. Honestly I love him very much, but if I had known that he chewed in the beginning I would have never dated him. This is kind of a deal breaker to me but I dont want to put a lot of pressure on him to stop. Basically, what is a good way to get him to stop or atleast help motivate him to stop? Thanks!

  • Wedding gift?

I've been dating my boyfriend for about 2 months now and he is sister is getting married in a couple weeks. I just got invited to the wedding so now I am in hurry to buy a gift. I am also a poor college student, have only met his sister once, and the wedding is going to be a small affair. So with that background, I was wondering what price range would be appropriate and what kind of gift should I get? Thanks!
