ok this may sound a little silly, but I was wondering if there is such a thing as islamic maternity clothes? I know muslim women dress the same as non muslim women , but is there anything special I can buy. There is special western maternity clothing - made differently for your growing belly, is there such a thing for muslim women too. Or do I just have to go out a try to buy some really big alaybas (SP)?

We are trying to decide on some names for our daughter or son and I am finding it very hard. Would Gabrielle be an acceptable name of a baby girl?

I will be flying back to Edmonton from England via Montreal. Will 1.5 hours be enough time to clear customs, collect luggage check it back in and make it to my gate? The airline has the tickets set up this way, so I would like to think they would know. If I am running late because of this process, will the flight wait for me? The whole trip is with the same airline.

to drop almost 3 mmol/L in a half an hour? I tested 1.5 hours after my lunch and it was high for me, so I tested again at the 2 hour point and now it is down by almost 3 mmol/L from the reading I got at 1.5 hours. I'm really new at this and it seems like a big drop to me.

my last depo shot was in November. Last month I had a very slight period. My husband and I had unprotected sex during what should have been my fertile period. now my period is over a week late but the 2 tests i have taken are negative. is it possible that i am pregnant? I've been nauseous on and off but I have also had PMS symptoms. I'm just so confused!?!?! I think it is too soon after going off the shot but stranger things have happened.....

Hello all,

my husband's niece is getting married in Jordan and I will be traveling over to attend. What do I wear? This is my first muslim wedding (other than my own) and I am at a total loss as to what to wear. The men and women will be separated so I know hajib will not be necessary, but other than that I have no clue.

I will not be able to attend their engagement party because it is on the other side of the world. Do you give engagement gifts in Islam or should I wait till the wedding celebration? I'm not sure since our engagement party and wedding party was all in one.

my laptop died and have seen these netbooks for sale. What is the difference other than size?

I am married to a wonderful muslim man who inshalla I will spend the rest of my life with. However, I keep hearing about how these marriages don't work and after a few years end in divorce. Please give me hope someone! I'm tired of hearing all the bad stats.

I had my depo shot on Nov. 28. I was "with" my husband on Dec. 24th and onward. On Dec.26th I started spotting and have been on and off ever since ( Jan.15th). There isn't any amount of blood, only a little pinkness when I wipe. since I have been using depo I haven't had a period so I don't even know when I should take a test. I've also have been flying a lot lately - 2 very long flights, one Dec. 23 and the other Jan.9. I don't know what to do and I have no one to ask. Help!

I did a stupid thing several months ago and took out a personnal loan that has a crazy high interest rate. I have the money to pay it off in my RRSP savings. Should I pull out the money and pay off the loan? I am new to this whole money management thing and I want to do what would be the best for my future.

I have a blackberry wold addition phone and my provider is Telus. I can send text messages to Jordan, but I am not receiving any that have been sent back. Anyone got any suggestions as to why this is happening ?
