I had some work done on my house this year including replacing a wood porch. Because of delays, they were able to install the wood but didn't have a chance to paint it before it got too cold. Now it's just sitting exposed to the rain and snow all winter, and has started to develop some mold.

Is this normal? How much does a couple months of exposure like this affect the lifetime of the wood?

I've noticed that early boarding is often treated as a privilege by the airline, and people often hurry to be first in line when their zone is called. To me that just lengthens the amount of time you have to sit in the plane, which is especially unappealing on a long flight. If you do this, what is the appeal to you? Is it simply about getting a good overhead baggage spot or something else?

I have a tire with a slow leak that I have to refill about twice a month. If I use Fix-a-Flat, could that permanently seal the leak?

I have ants coming in the windows my friend says use cinamon and they don't cross it, I put cinamon in all my windows and now they way more ants.

What amd I doing wrong? Do U need a special type of cinamon? I'm using cinamon sugar, but it seems to have high cinamon amount.

I drive by my friend's place around once a week. I usually stop by to say hi but most of the time he's not home. I want to leave something or do something so he'll know someone has been there. Something not too cruel but funny enough that I'll be excited when he's not home from now on.

I sometimes use NiMH rechargeables and sometimes regular disposables. The obvious benefit of rechargeables is that not as many wind up in a landfill, but I recycle all my batteries. Are there other environmental benefits to rechargeables in term of fewer resources or less energy used?

If you throw a ball 50 mph, that speed is only relative to the Earth. From another perspective, the Earth is rotating and shooting through space, so the ball is traveling much faster that 50 mph. From another perspective, our whole solar system is hurtling through the galaxy, and so on. So it seems like when you ask how fast something is moving, you always have to ask "with respect to what."

So I've never been able to understand how light can have a constant speed. How can my motion only be measured relative to other objects while light can be measured absolutely?

I'm moving to America soon and thinking about bringing my Sony DVD recorder with me. I know that America has a different DVD region so I won't be able to watch American DVDs, but what about American TV channels or American cable? Will I have compatibility issues trying to watch and record American TV shows?

I put duct tape on my bike seat and it peeled up. I didn't notice and now it's on my favorite pants. I'm such a fool.
