  • Ran out of cat food, stores closed... what can i feed them?

I have tons of food for the kitten, but nothing for the cats. All 3 only eat wet food. Whould it be ok to feed the cats the kitten food if i feed them half as much? the only problem is that the adult cats are on a higher quality food that is grain free, but the kitten eats a moderate quality food that has no by-products, but has grains. Would the grains upset the cats bellies? i do have some high quality dry that i feed the adults as treats and small snacks, but they don't eat it as meals so i am afraid it will upset their bellies.

  • i forgot to send a reply to a random proof of insurance in ohio, do i really have to pay all these fees?

So i recieved a letter in the mail today saying my license and registration was suspended for failign to reply to a request for my proof of insurance. it just slipped my mind... i had just renewed my drivers license and vehicle registration like one week prior and SHOWED my insurance card too. i put it on my "to-do" list to photocopy my insurance card and mail it in, but in the chaos of life i just forgot.... i don't have any copy machines nearby and i have a hectic work schedule, and i was just going to have my insurance copy send a letter if i couldn't get a photocopy, but i forgot... a lot was going on at the time and it got lost in the jumble.

so now they want $125 and for me to buy special financial responsibility insurance for 3 years! i have never in my life been without insurance, and I have the maximum insurance that can be bought, way above what is required by the state. the letter also says something about me having to buy another drivers license and vehicle registration... i seriously JUST bought these.

is it worth it to appeal? i really don't have $125 to pay them unless i skip my car insurance payment this month or stop eating. the letter is so confusing. it says i can avoid the supsension by showing proof of insurance for the period they asked for within 21 days, but on the back it also says i have to pay the "reinstantement fee" of $125... but they are not reinstating anything if i send the insurance card since i won't lose my license and registration... and why do i need to buy the special insurance too when i already have insurance with no gaps on coverage for the past 8 years? both those topics start with "You are required...."

  • platinum vs palladium (rings)?

What is the real deal? I keep hearing conflicting information... some say palladium is softer than platinum, some say it is harder. I can't wear gold (yellow or white) due to allergies, so don't even bother suggesting i save my money and get gold.

Which is better? is palldium really just a poor man's platinum? I want value, but I also want a ring that will last a lifetime. Temporarily I am getting a plain wedding band for a few years, and then I will be getting a different one that has small diamonds going around the ring. I want both rings to age well.

Does anyone have correct information on the comparison? Don't bother answering if you are going to quote wikipedia. wikipedia is a great starting point, but should never be relied on as having correct information.

  • Can i burn songs I bought off iTunes to a cd to listen to in my car?

I made the mistake of buying a few cds from iTunes, but nothing I tried will allow me to listen to my iPod in the car, so I wanted to know if there is a way to burn the songs to a cd so i can listen to them in the car.

  • Is an Electra Hawaii bike good for casual bike path riding?

I love the look of the bike, and I am not looking to do any serious riding. Just leisure riding on the bike path for some fresh air and a good time. Since I usually rollerblade about 4-6 miles, I figure I could ride the bike about the same or more, so I am hoping the bike can handle that. It is only a 3-speed and has that backwards peddle to brake system.

I am looking for a bike that will last at least 5 years. The Electra is about $400, so i want to make sure I am getting a good value for that price.

I am not looking for a Walmart bike or any special internet deals. The local bike shop provides maintenance for the life of the bike. I am also not looking for any boring styles.

  • How do I extinguish charcoal in a park grill?

It doesn't seem right to leave a fire blazing, but I also don't want to be waiting around 6 hours for the fire to go out on its own. How do I stop the fire and cool the charcoal on a grill that has no cover, an open front, and unclosable air vents on the side?

  • Is it safe to tan without the protective goggles?

My tanning salon is no longer providing them for "health" reasons and they want $5 for a pair of those cheap plastic clearish ones. The tanning bed has warnings to use them, but the girl was like "oh, you actually use them?". Opinions?

Thumbs down to anyone who mentions I shouldn't be tanning or the horrible side effects. I only want to know about eyes and the goggles.

  • Where are people getting the Coach bags with their monogram?

I don't see them on the Coach website, but I see people carrying the bags everywhere. I was going to check out the Coach store next time I am at the mall, but just curious to see if it is a real style or not before asking them.

  • How much does it cost to have a mole removed and what kind of scarring should be expected?

I have a mole on my face that has started to grow and change shape. it used to be a tiny freckle, but now it is raised and growing. I had it checked out last year because I tan a lot, and at the time the doctor said everything was normal. I just don't want it on my face anymore! So gross. Also my father had one in the same spot and it was huge! He recently had to have it removed because it was suspicious and it left a huge scar. I want mine off before it gets any bigger. Right now it is way smaller than a pea in diameter but bigger than a pin head. It is more like 2-3 pin head combined.

My insurance has been seriously downgraded since college, but I do have insurance. It doesn't cover office visits beyond a yearly pysical and yearly women's exam, so I want to minimize the amount of visits to a doctor over this. I am not required to have a referal to see a specialist. Should I see a plastic surgeon or dermatologist to have it examined and then removed?

  • Is it ridiculous if my wedding photographer cost more than the actual wedding?

So the photographer is going to be like $10,000.... the wedding is a little less if you add all the expenses like ceremony, reception, flowers, invites, etc. It is just a small wedding.

Photos of the day are extremely important to me, and this guy is amazing. His style is exactly what I want. He just recently raised his prices, and they are always on the rise because he is so good.

My fiance is on board with me, and loves the guy too, but is extremely worried about what his parents would say if they knew we spent this much when they are already thinking we are spending too much on "just one day". They will be helping us with the wedding, but won't say how much.

Did anyone else "settle" on their photographer rather than get the one they really wanted? I have met with others who do great pictures, just not the style I want.

  • Are there stores that buy old cell phones?

I still have my old cell phone that was basically new when I decided to get a different one. Are there stores that buy them, or is donation my only option? I tried selling it last summer on facebook, but the girl backed out of the deal last minute and I forgot about the phone. While cleaning out the electronic bin i found it again and would like to do something with it.

  • What is the best tanning schedule so I look my best on Friday?

I havn't been tanning in like a year, so I have been super pale. So I went for like 7 minutes today in a high level bed that is 10 minutes max. I am naturally pale, but I don't burn easily and I usually just tan, or if I am out like an entire day on the water I will burn but it turns to a tan by the nexy day.

What would be the best schedule to be tan on Friday. I don't have time that day to go tanning and I don't want to risk having the "burnt skin"/self-tanner (in my lotion) smell about me. Should I go every day? Or just Wednesday and hope for the best?

I heard somewhere that tanning every day delays the tan, so I don't want to do that, but I would like to have some color about me so I don't look so pale/sickly.

  • My teeth hurt worse than anything I have ever felt in my life after Crest Whitestrips Supreme, any tips?

Day 1: Two strips top and bottom for the time directed, 30 minutes each. My teeth ached the entire night and my gums were swollen. I know the bleach is stronger than the whitestrips you can buy in the store (Supreme can only be purchased from a dentist), but this kills! I don't know if I will make it the 21 days that the kit offeres with this stronger bleach.

Any tips besides sensitive tooth toothpaste and Act mouthwash to fill in areas of my teeth?

On the plus side, there are noticible results after just that one day with this stronger kit! Normallly I don't see results like this until day 3 of the Premium strips. I only do these once a year by the way just to brighten up my smile a bit, and I see my dentist twice a year for cleanings :)

The directions say that I can skip a couple of applications but that I should use all the strips in as close to 21 days as possible... so stopping until the pain goes away or wearing them every other day really won't work.

  • How do I store a wedding dress for at least a year?

I just bought a dress at the "Running of the Brides". I am not getting married for a very long time. I probably won't be getting it out for a year. Should I have it cleaned and then put in a bag to store in my closet?

I am still going to be shopping for dresses, but I didn't want to miss the huge sale! Now I have this big beautiful dress that won't even be out for alterations for another year!

  • What should I do to prepare for getting my wisdom removed to reduced pain and swelling?

I am getting my wisdom teeth out in a couple weeks. Any tips to reduce swelling and possibly pain? I will be getting vicoden for sure. I am also being very diligent on my brushing, flossing, and listerin twice a day since I think a healthy mouth would help a lot.

Any foods to avoid? My oral surgeon just told me to come in with a good attitude and all would be fine.

  • Catholic, living together, and wanting the full wedding with mass... do we have to separate?

Ok, so we moved in with each other before I officially joined the church and before he went back to the church. We didn't know that it was considered a huge no-no to live together, and we had no idea we would be getting married and wanting a catholic wedding.

Since joining the church we had stopped having a physical relationship since that is the only place we can see the church having a problem about. The problem is that many of the church officials don't think it is possible for two people to be strong enough to resist the urge to have sex. It is a struggle, but we are resisting just fine, and we actually feel closer and more sure that we want to be married.

At this point though, our funds and stuff is so comingled that it would be a financial hardship for one of us to move out, and overall just silly since we know so many couple spending every night at each others home when we are abstaining.

We can't lie since we registered with the same address and it would be wrong.
