  • Does anyone remember Wondir.com?

Back in the late 2000s, there was a website similar to this one called Wondir.com. It shut down in 2009.

Also, now that we're losing Yahoo Answers, where will you go now? I'll be on Quora.

  • I hate my life, please help?

I am 24 years old and for the past 3 years I’ve really hated my life. I work in an office 8 hours a day 5 days a week (with my suit, tie, and face mask on), it’s an awfully hard and boring job, I wish I could just leave here and get a fun job with shorter shifts that isn’t so hard, it’s so miserable. When I get home, I have plenty of chores to do that leave me with no free time. My weekends are also awful, I don’t work on weekends, but I have other chores to do that leave me with little to no free time. All of my friends/family are always too busy to hang out with me, which makes me so lonely and sad. I get super envious when I see pics of my little nephews doing fun things with their parents (my brother and sister-in-law), like wearing costumes, playing at the park, and doing all sorts of family fun stuff (they live in another state, so I can’t hang out with them). It just upsets me and makes me really want to be my nephews’ age again. My life is nothing but disappointment, full of daunting responsibilities, and horribly boring. I literally cry hard every day because of this, I am in so much mental pain. Why do I have to have such a painfully boring life with absolutely no fun/play?! I also have a lot of sick/dying family members, making me even more miserable! I am a kid-at-heart and long to have a fun and awesome life again (that’s the way it was until about 3 years ago). Right now, I’m very depressed. Someone, please help me and tell me what to do! ;,(

  • Does anyone here play Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

If you do: Do you have Raymond as one of your villagers?

I've been trying to get Raymond to live on my island for a week now. I've spent lots of nook miles tickets trying to find him on an island, and I've tried to catch him at my campsite by time-traveling to days when a camper visits my island (hoping it's Raymond), but I've had absolutely no luck finding him. Other people have found him doing these methods, but I guess they're luckier than I am.

Since I had no luck finding Raymond using those methods, I paid someone on eBay to give him to me. I'm currently waiting for them to send me their Dodo code.

  • Have you ever met a high school (or college) student who loved to watch toddler shows?

Like on Disney Junior or Nick Jr.?

I have, and I don't think it's cool. (Well, I guess it's fine if it's a girl, but definitely not acceptable for boys.)

  • Why am I so childish?

I am a 23 year old guy, and I live my life a lot like a child. I play with toys, dress like a kid, watch lots of cartoons (even on toddler channels like Disney Junior), play video games, go to toy stores (I even work at one), chase the ice cream truck, pull jokes and pranks, and play on park playgrounds. The only “adult” things I do are work (currently at a toy store, but I hope to become a preschool/kindergarten teacher, or at least a classroom helper in the future) and take care of chores. Ironically, when I was a kid, I hated being a kid. I was the most mature kid in school, and I was in a big rush to grow up. It wasn’t until my freshman year in high school that I became so childish. It’s weird how everyone else my age has passed me up and is working on their careers and all while I’m “stuck in kindergarten.” Sorry, but I wouldn’t be able to stand having a more serious adult job, and don’t offer me a cup of coffee, because I hate coffee! Everything adult-related really bothers me. I have been judged several times for being this way, but my family thinks I’m awesome. Even the other kids/parents at the playgrounds seem to enjoy me there. I don’t know why I’m this way, but I don’t mind it at all, in fact, I love living this way, and I don’t want to change. I read online that many other people like this were abused as a children (which I actually was, but I’m not sure if that’s why I’m like this).

  • Is this special education teacher being too hard on her students?

I just got done reading a blog post by a high school special education teacher who teaches students with autism and mental challenges. She said many of her students (all teens) were interested in things that are normally targeted at young children (such as Mickey Mouse cartoons, character themed shirts and lunchboxes, toys, etc). She didn't like her students having "age-inappropriate" interests, so she told them not to bring any childish things into her classroom, and she created a sorting activity where students sort stickers with items for little kids on them and stickers with items for teens on them. She is very stern about students acting their age and having age-appropriate interests. Many other teachers commented on the post saying they were in agreement with her.

For a special ed teacher, I feel she is being too hard on her students by forcing them to give up childlike interests and hobbies (that don't even hurt anyone) and pushing them to "man up." Some of these students with mental challenges may not even be capable of "acting their age." If I were a special ed teacher, I would let my students be who they are and enjoy what they like, as long as they're not hurting anyone.

    Anyone agree?

  • Have you ever been in a big earthquake (magnitude 6.0 or greater)?

I experienced two in 2019. I went to California on the 4th of July to visit a friend in a small desert town, and a 6.4 earthquake hit the area. The next day, I ate at a restaurant in the same area, and a 7.1 earthquake hit.

  • Does Seattle, Washington have a Mediterranean climate, or an Oceanic climate?

I read on Wikipedia and several other websites that Seattle has a Mediterranean climate (Koppen Classification CSB), which is the same type of climate that most of California has. However, the climate of Seattle is nearly identical to the climates of London, England and Paris, France, which are both Oceanic climates (Koppen Classification CFB).

  • What would you do if you were at a park playground and you saw a 23 year old guy playing there like a kid?

My answer: I'd let him be (as long as he's not hurting anybody).

  • So bored, please help?

Ok, so I've been stuck at home for several days now due to rain, snow, and COVID-19 restrictions. I really wish I had a Nintendo Switch (or Nintendo Switch Lite) so that I could play Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but unfortunately, I can't afford to buy one (I'm so envious of everyone who has a Switch). I found out there are Switch emulators you can download on your computer for free, but from what I've heard, they work very poorly and glitch up a lot. Plus it's illegal to download pirated copies of games for free (I'd rather not break the law). If anyone knows how to get a Switch (or Switch Lite) for a cheaper price, please let me know. I've done nothing but stupid boring adult chores these days, and I feel like I'm dying of boredom. Please, someone, rescue me from this awful situation!
