I've lived over half a century now, and I hope that I've learned a thing or two as I've walked down this path of life. I just try to help a bit, maybe encourage. I also want to share the truth of Jehovah God with any who would like to hear. I have 2 grown children, sadly l lost my beloved husband, David, April 21, 09. I'm still coping with his death and trying to learn a new "normal". Jehovah is sustaining me through this difficult time. I still live an organic lifestyle, and am constantly working to spread the word about the dismal condition of America's food supply.

  • Dear Friends, fellow Jehovah's Witnesses, please tell me a Scripture to deal with the death of a loved one?

As many of you knew, my husband, David, has been ill for many years. Tuesday morning he suffered a heart attack and died at our home. Jehovah is giving me strength beyond myself, holding me up and helping me put one foot in front of the other.

We do not grieve as those who have no hope, and I'm glad he is no longer suffering with his many problems, yet that doesn't mean it is not hard. He was my best friend, my beloved. I have given him to Jehovah and trust implicitly in His mercy. Yet, what are some Scriptures that YOU favor for times such as this?

    Thank You so much.

  • For Jehovah's Witnesses and others...Why do some say that instantly upon death Jesus went directly to Heaven?

Especially when the Bible is clear that he died, was buried and to fulfill his words, resurrected in 3 days time, and did not ascent until 40 days later(Acts 1:3).. John 2:18-22. Also keeping in mind Christ's own words after his resurrection. John 20:17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father.

How can we reason so that they will see the truth of this, and also of Luke 23:43 And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise.” That Jesus wasn't promising that evildoer paradise that day, but at a time in the future.

What suggestions have you? How would you reason this?

  • Jehovah's Witnesses, Friends, do you often picture yourself in the new system of things?

What are you doing? Have you moved somewhere else? What are you looking forward to the most? (aside from living in a world free of satan's influence)

  • Why do triune godhead believers use water as an analogy?

They say water can be 3 things, but overlook the fact that a single drop of water can't be a liquid, a solid and a vapor AT THE SAME TIME. Certainly they can't be that obtuse. Then why do they pick on the clover? There are 3 and 4 leaf clovers...along with a stem and root system. You get my drift. Why not just say it's a 'mystery' or better still that 'our puny human brains can't 'grasp' the concept. Or maybe, they have it wrong. I mean, the Christians of the first Century certainly did not think there was a 'godhead', they knew there is only 1 God, and then there is his Son, the firstborn of creation, Jesus.

Christ said this: He said to them: “YOU, though, who do YOU say I am?” 16 In answer Simon Peter said: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 In response Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Jo´nah, because flesh and blood did not reveal [it] to you, but my Father who is in the heavens did.

Doesn't sound like triune to me. 1 God, 1 Son. Simple truth

  • Where in Scripture does it say you must kiss the ring of a certain man?

Reading the Bible, I've noticed that all of the early Christians were poor, those who taught and preached DID NOT make money from it. They did not wear fine robes of silk or satin or adorn themselves as we see today. The Bible even advises us to dress modestly. Watching our visitor from Rome today, I couldn't help but wonder. Where does it say someone who claims to represent God on earth should do with with such obvious over-indulgence in grandeurs, wealth, jewels and finery? Why too rubbing elbow's with presidents...mixing with politics?

Jas. 4:4: “Adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is constituting himself an enemy of God.” (Why is the matter so serious? Because, as 1 John 5:19 says, “the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” At John 14:30, Jesus referred to Satan as being “the ruler of the world.”

How does that Scripture fit in as well?

  • How to prove American Indian heritage when you were adopted back in the 1950's?

All I have from the Orphanage is a loose narrative which describes my mother as being half Chippewa. There is no traceable anything, as I've tried lo these many years. Maybe someone has an idea I haven't thought of. Thanks!

  • Do you live in Mid Michigan and have a horse you'd like to give to a good home?

I would like a horse for simple trail/pleasure riding. I'm older and have long put side the need for speed. I don't have a great deal of money, but enough for boarding fees. I do have a vast amount of love and care to give the mare or gelding I'm looking for. I also have many, many years of experience with horses. So, if you have one that you've thought about donating, sending to the auction, or something else, I hope you'll give this a thought. Thanks!

  • Horse Owners how do you keep that 3-4 foot area...?

just outside the loose barn from turning into 2 feet of deep mud and you-know-what after a hard rain? I've been trying for years. I find sand works great for the arena and round pens, but never have been able to figure out something for in front of the old barn. Tearing down the old barn is NOT an option. Would love to hear from some adult horse owners who actually run stock on their property.
