I heard about Horizon, Alico and Allianz. not sure which one to choose

I want to buy German Shepherd but my problem is:

I am live a lone in my apartment (2 bedroom apartment)

I go to work from 8am to 4pm, during this time the dog will be left alone

will that be OK, if I gave him enough training before and after working hours?

Can I keep him amused while I am away?

What if I want to go visit some one, will my dog be able to stay alone for 14 or 16 hours?

any one has the same problem I am having?

Note:

Begin alone is The reason that I want to have a dog and also The reason I am afraid to have it

Please don't suggest any toy dogs, I don't want a toy

I am going to buy a "German shepherd" and I heard that its better to have another dog with him so that they can play with each others when i am not at home

* I can afford buying another big size pet

* I don't want the new pet to feel jealous when I treat my German shepherd better than it

* I want something that is easy to maintain and yet will be able to play with my GSD

any suggestions

there is a girl i met during a course

she is very nice, We used to chat on-line

after a month or so we have became very close, we trust each other, talk about private things, never asked her to do something and she refused, etc .....

now 4 months have passed and we are getting even closer, so where is the problem?

here is the funny thing, we are only close when we chat on the Internet or when we talk.

but she never act as a friend, never being in the same team, never studied something together (except once when i asked for it). [she does only what i ask for]

we have almost never sit behind each others

i thought she is not really interested in me, but when I began to show some ignorance to her she got really mad

she always "says" how much she love me (as a friend)

yet, never act like it

I asked her weather she want an on-line friendship or real one

that was her answer

"why don't we be simple? just love & act based on that love"

some body tell me what should I do?

I feel like we are all machines

we have a brain which is (processor+RAM+Wires+Secondary storage)

our body consists of

bones instead of metal

flesh instead of plastic

our emotions are nothing more that some chemicals that our brain recognize and interact with

yes I admit, we are more complicated than any machine we have ever created.

but do you think that is enough to say we are not machines ?

Can any body tell me something that we can do and a machine can NEVER do?

Coptic is an "almost" extinct Egyptian language

recently the Unicode organization added support for the Coptic Language

does NOT return correct result when searching using Coptic letters

for example search for the word ϯⲁⲥⲡⲓ return result for the first letter only "ϯ"
