My kids father doesnt file the child care credit. Dumb rite? last year he paid for child care directly, this year my name is on the checks because i write them from my bank account but its from child support funds i get. I dont think he is going to this year either. Am I allowed to file for it? i think its dumb he doesnt get it, we could save it for my sons education. But i dont want to cross any lines by for filing it..i just think its silly hes basically wasting money.

My friend is living in a rental house with black mold caused by the raw sewage that is leaking from pipes in the walls bathroom, kitchen, and ceiling. Yeah, gross. She has called the health and fire department after the landlord has refused to come out in over 2 months. The health department hasnt made it out there yet but the fire department said the kitchen and bathrooms walls need to be ripped out. That will mean there is no kitchen or bathroom, there will be no usable toilets or water. She is going to put her rent in escrow, but if the house wont be livable when (if) the repairs are made, is that the best thing to do?

May be preggo w/ #2 but i wasnt really hungry with my 1st. I lost weight actually. and soon i was too sick to eat anything anyway. Lately my tummy is an abyss. Could the 2 pregnancies be that different? Share experiences please. Too early to test but Ive never been this hungry in my life its like i'll collapse if i dont get food ASAP. My BF says using a battery too strong for the device can fry it over time. The manual is long gone. I assume the battery thats in there is what is recommended for the camera. I can get the 3V in there (even though its a bit larger than the 1.5) and it will turn on but obviously I dont want to destroy the camera.

I am a single working mom of a 22 month old. It seems like our routine is we come home, i cook/clean, we eat dinner, bathtime, story, and bed. he plays in his room the whole time and is content but we dont really play together because im not sure what to do (and i'm BEAT). sometimes i lay on the floor and watch him play but i dont know what to do to interact with him. I mean i can tickle him and make silly noises but that gets old. I just want to make sure I'm bonding with him.

heat went out in my apartment christmas eve. there was a delay for someone to check it out because of the holidays (understandable). they sent a guy out and he said i needed a part. They called me back 5 days later and said they needed the model # off the unit to order the part. he didn't get it when he was in my house 5 days ago. that's why im pissed. so now im going on my 13th day and i feel really inconvenienced. i have a toddler. on nights its really cold i have to send him with family. do you think i could get a break on my rent or would they just tell me to suck it up?

my landlord did offer me space heaters but i bought my own in case this happens again. they dont beat central heat tho i assure you.

i doubt its pink eye. no irritation, no swelling, no tearing, no discharge. My eye is a bit red and there is a red circle around my pupil (where my contact was!). it doesnt hurt at all.

i just switched to a new kind of contacts i only had for a week.

i'm asking cuz i have to pay co-payments for both so i dont want the urgent care facility to send me to my eye doc anyway.
