I think my cat hates her crystal litter...?
So two questions:
1. She started peeing in the dining room after I got the scoopfree litter box. I ended up pulling up the carpet and paying to install tile (I'm renting). Ceiling in the masterbedroom had a leak, she started peeing where the liquid was leaking onto the carpet. My guess was that she wanted to mark her territory over the new smell. The landlord just replaved the carpet in the master bedroom - AND SHE'S PEEING IN THE SAME SPOT AGAIN!!! While the carpet was up I mopped the floor underneath with bleach, then a pet urine neutralizing solution. How can I keep her from peeing there?
2. What's the best automatic litter box that is less than $200 and doesn't use crystal litter? I've heard mixed things about LitterMaid. Litter Robot is too expensive. Is the Omega Paw good or just huge?

1 AnswerOther - United States1 decade agoWhitish crust on top of jelly?
Jelly that I've used before sometimes get a whitish, grainy crust on top. At first, I thought I'd contaminated it with butter or peanut butter, but I've used a clean spoon on new jars of jelly and it still gets the crust. Then I thought it was frozen, but that doesn't seem to be it either.
What the heck is it? Is it safe to eat?
1 AnswerCooking & Recipes1 decade agoGood ideas for a carb addict on a low carb diet?
My doctor has reccomended a low insulin diet for me, and besides giving up my beloved diet coke, I'm not supposed to eat most carbs. Most of my diet is carbs - help! A salad just doesn't fill me up... Cheese without crackers? Help me see beyond the carbs!!!
3 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoDo you have an elderly, sick or dying parent?
My mother died 4 years ago, my father died last week. Neither made many plans, and that made it difficult for us, their children. Please talk to your parents and talk about these things.
1. Do you have a will? Is it recent? If they've remarried or the children are no longer minors, it needs to be looked at again.
2. Where is the will?
3. Where are the life insurance documents? Make sure you know what policies you will need to follow up on.
4. Make a list of all bank, reirement and investment accounts. Include the account number, where the account is, who to contact and a phone number.
5. Have you thought about your funeral? Where do you want to be buried? Have any arrangements already been made? [I had to drive 100 miles to and from another city to buy a plot for my mom the evening of the visitation. You don't want to be rushing around!]
6. How about a funeral ceremony? Who should we be sure to notify? Any special readings or hymns you'd like us to use?
3 AnswersFamily1 decade agoSell house or rent it?
I have an almost new house on the SE side of Houston and I've moved to Albuquerque. The house has been on the market since Christmas with no offers. I just lowered the price some, but I'll be losing money at this point.
Should I rent it? I'm worried about becoming a land lord - don't want the hassle of bugging someone for rent or dealing with repairs long distance. I've hear there are agencies that will act as the rental agents for you and handle those things (for a fee of course).
Should I just keep lowering the price or rent it? Right now my mortgage payment is going in a black hole and I'm living with relatives. I want my own place again!
6 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoPasta dish to make with pork cubes?
I'm supposed to make a pasta dish tonnight with the pork cubes in the fridge. One of the diners can't eat milk products or aged cheese, so no parmesan, romano etc. She can eat mozzarella though. She also can't digest onions or a lot of garlic. Am I just screwed??!!
10 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoChoosing a new doctor?
I've just moved to a new town (Albuquerque) and need to find new doctor. Just a primary care person, not a specialist. I don't have kids so I'm only looking for myself. I've asked around but the doctors people have recomended aren't on my insurance plan. Any suggestions on how to go about this other than just picking a random name off the list the insurance company gave me?

My cousin just took her first dose of a z pack, and within an hour she got diarrhea. Is this part of the strep throat or a side effect of the z pack?

I miss my authentic taquerias in Central/South Texas. Everything here seems to be a chain! I also love asian food, especially sushi and Vietnamese.
