  • Need info from Yogis?

I have recently been interested in yoga exercises because of my back pains. I bought yoga videos and have been doing some exercises at home. (I can only hope I have been doing them right.)

Recently, I noticed that I had been eating smaller portions of food. Today, I ate a lot of meat (it's New Year's Day) and I got sick in the bathroom. My sister told me that my yoga workout may have something to do with it. She said that most yogis are vegetarians because eating meat makes them feel heavy in the stomach.

    Is she right?

  • Mad Axe electric guitar?

My friend, who just recently got interested in electric guitars, asked my opinion on a second hand Mad Axe electric guitar that someone is selling her. I know virtually nothing about electric guitars so I surfed the net but couldn't find anything on Mad Axe guitars. On Mad Axeman, yes, a lot of info.

Please help me. Can anyone please tell me about Mad Axe guitars and how much should a second-hand one cost?

    Thank you.

  • What rules in grammar apply to these?

    Hi everyone:)

The following sentences in the S-V-IO-DO pattern are correct:

    -He gave Anna a book.

    -He gave her a book.

    WHY are these ones wrong?

    -He gave Anna it.

    -He gave her it.

If I modify the sentence so that the book is the direct object, WHY is there a need to use a preposition before Anna or her?

-He gave a book to Anna.

    -He gave it to Anna.

    -He gave it to her.

    Thank you very much!

  • How should I teach TOEIC?

I have been giving TOEIC review classes for about two years now. My method is just to introduce and explain grammar rules and let my students analize the questions and apply the rules. Have I been doing it right? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

  • Is it bad to turn my computer on and off several times a day?

I usually turn my pc on and off in the morning before I leave for work, then again during lunchbreak and in the evening. Will it harm my pc? I heard that it's better to keep it on standy the whole day but I am concerned about electric consumption. I would appreciate your answers. Thanks.
