So some years ago there was this self-published author that came to my middle school and told us about her books that she'd written, and gave a couple copies to our library. It was a trilogy, and the third book was not yet finished when she talked to us, so I was able to read the first two, but have not been able to find the third. The series is called the Fifth Battle and the book I'm looking for is called Tears of Destiny. The first book was Eyes of War and the second was Faces of Sorrow.

I recently went to Bank of America in order to see about getting my first credit card. I set it up where I would get one from them, and they told me it would arrive in about two weeks, at which point I would have to activate it. As far as I knew, that was the end of it. Not a week later, I receive a spam email about my credit score, at the email I use for Bank of America, from "freeaddepot.com". This is literally the first email of this kind that I have ever received at this email address, and the fact that I got it so soon after meeting with BoA seems extremely suspicious to me. Does anyone know if this is just some crazy coincidence, or is BoA actually giving out my email?

I read a book a long time ago about this guy whose mother has died, but before dying she made a kind of snowglobe (it might not be a snowglobe, might be a carving inside glass, don't remember exactly) representing their house (or an old tree near their house, something like that). He picks up the snowglobe and it takes him to a parallel universe where his mother is alive and he was born as a girl (whom he meets) and so on. Not very important but just annoying not to remember. I recently started learning to use Linux, specifically Ubuntu. I accidentally used a program incorrectly and locked myself out, so I want to restart it from scratch. The person who originally installed Ubuntu on my computer is unavailable, so I am not sure how they did it. I have put the latest version of Ubuntu on a USB drive using the program found at: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

However, when I start the computer with Ubuntu currently on it, it does not automatically read the USB drive, and when I press F12 to select a boot device it gives me 3 options for USB booting. I have tried all three, but it is as if I just told it to boot normally, it takes me to the desktop and I am still locked out, it does not go through any installation process at all. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and how to fix it? Thanks.

Okay, so I was just starting to learn how to use Linux, specifically the security aspects of it, and I installed a program called Bastille. When it asked me what user accounts I wanted to allow I accidentally made it so that the only user account on there was not allowed. Now I can't change any files or anything on the computer, I can't even open up the internet (I am on a different computer now). I have tried logging in as root in the terminal, but it does not allow me to do that either. Is there something I am doing wrong or a way to fix this? If so, I would appreciate the help.

I am trying to make a program for one of my teachers, he asked me to make a program where, while you run it, you can click on a box and it opens up a window that allows you to select a file from your computer and save it in the box. It would be nice, though not necessary, to also have it so that when the program closes, it saves what pictures are there. If someone could give me a step-by-step walkthrough for this I would appreciate it.

I know it's possible, but I can not find any website that actually has this book, or any other book I want to read. It's just a bunch of old classics on the sites I find, or else I have to pay for it. Where can I find a site that lets me read this book for free? Don't respond saying it's not possible, don't respond saying it's illegal, just tell me where I can find it and read it for free please.

There is a virus on my PC, it has so far blocked me out of all administrative tools (im running Vista), including the C:\ drive. Whenever i try to run a virus scan (and i have tried multiple) it shuts that program down and removes my privileges to use it. I have tried starting in safe mode, tried shutting down the service, tried stopping the process, tried calling "tech support" (i just got an Indian guy asking personal information, eventually i hung up), i tried deleting certain files with command prompt (btw, when i try doing this, or going into the C:\ drive, it tells me access is denied), now i can't even download most things because it won't let me, i can't do windows updates, tried that too, i tried everything i could possibly think of. If you can help me without needing me to buy anything, or really even downloading (since i cant do that 90% of the time), i would be extremely grateful. I'm going insane trying to figure this out.

When i try doing this on the administrator account, it tells me "ERROR - Logged-on user does not have the administrative privilege." Why, and how do i fix this?

Does "most recent" mean the same thing as "last", as in, my most recent address was.... and my last address was..., or does "most recent" mean anything a short period of time before the present, and doesn't apply to anything before a certain amount of time in the past?

i want to make a program using visual basic 2010 express for a computer that does not have visual basic 2010 express. i tried using the executable file in the bin folder for the program, but that doesn't work. if you have a way to do this, please let me know.

I was messing around with Visual Basic 2010 Express and found that I could create a password that triggered certain actions. I was wondering if i could make it so that when i opened any specific file (a microsoft word document for example) the program I made with the password would open and the file i was trying to open would only open if I typed in the correct password? Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it?
