  • How do I get something back from my ex when he lives in a different state?

I'll try to make this short...

My boyfriend and I were together for 5 years. I moved to another state to be with him there and be close to his MOS. I was there for 4 years missing my family, friends, and hometown. I was miserable and finally I decided to go back home and we tried to go long distance. It didn't work out. We split up and less than thirty days later he's sleeping with someone else. I'm still infuriated and don't really want to talk to him. The thing is I left something I really want back there. How should I go about telling him to send it to me. Will this just make more drama for me? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

  • How can I get rid of product buildup in my hair?

I was wondering what the best way to get rid of product buildup (I have a LOT) in my hair. My hair dresser told me to use baking soda but I've also read about clarifying shampoo. I color my hair regularly and was also wondering how this would affect it. I normally use Dove Severe Damage (it's in a blue bottle).

  • Cooking conversion. Recipe calls for instant yeast but I only have active dry, can I convert it?

I have a recipe that calls for 1 teaspoon of instant yeast but I only have active dry packets. I can order some instant yeast online (I live in a small town and can't find it in grocery stores) but I want to make this pizza dough tonight. I'm wondering how to change the recipe cause the active dry yeast has to be proofed. Any help would be great, thanks!

  • Does anyone know where I can find and purchase a specific print of fabric?

I bought this really pretty purple paisley peachskin fabric from the fabric department at Wal-mart for a dress. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and need more. I went back to Wal-mart and they were out of it. I found the design number and looked it up online and have had no luck. The design number is Hamil Group Design #85607N. I would really appreciate any help finding this fabric. Thanks!

  • I switched brands of birth control (Ortho Novum 1/35 to Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo)?

I switched brands and now I'm having cramps and spotting a week before I start the placebo pills. Is this normal? Also, the pharmacist said that there isn't a generic of Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo, I think she's BSing me. Does one exist?

  • Am I getting screwed over at my job? Should I quit NOW?

I've posted another question about this job in regards to quitting it. I also want some people's opinion about if my employers are doing anything illegal with how they treat/pay us. I work at a motel at the front desk. I make $8 an hour with NO benefits. I get no vacation time, no sick time (we are seriously not allowed to call in sick), and I have to work every holiday for the same pay (because of this I can't spend time with my own family for Christmas this year). I seriously live paycheck to paycheck with no opportunity to save anything. The poor housekeepers have to work 15 days in a row making less than I do. I do some of the overnight shifts which go from five in the evening to nine in the morning and I make NO overtime for it.

I've looked into jobs in town that would pay me around $10-12 dollars an hour with benefits and retirement and that good stuff. A couple people here have up and quit with no two weeks and I mentioned to my boss that I would be professional and give proper notice when I leave, to which she replied that she would NOT accept it. She laughed after she said that, so I really hope she was joking. If you haven't read my other question, she's been trying to get me to commit to her for FOUR years. I have told her twice that I cannot do this. I don't think she's hearing me. If I do quit now, she'd have one other girl to run the counter. They would seriously be SOL. My boyfriend says they've dug their own grave by not hiring more people and relying on me so much. I guess it's a moral thing that keeps me here but I'm MISERABLE. I'd love to go to college and I know that won't happen if I stay here.

I want to do this as professionally and as mature as possible. I'm also wondering if my boss tries to make me stay if there is any legal recourse. I'd like to be able to cite certain laws (I live in Wyoming) that I can cite to make my point. I need to leave this job before I end up staying here forever!!!! ANY help would be great, thanks.

  • How do I leave my job gracefully and without screwing anyone over?

I work at a motel in a very small town and have gotten pretty close to my boss. It's a family business so it's a really tight knit kind of place. There are 5 of us working on the counter and two are quitting by December. That leaves my boss the night manager and me. My boss wants me to take her daughter's position, which is basically her right hand person. She has a condition that I need to commit to her for FOUR years. I make a tad over minimum wage, NO vacation time, NO sick days, basically no social life.

I'm only 21 years old and four years from now I'll be almost 26. I'm in a very serious relationship and it's heading towards marriage and I feel like I'm going to have to BEG for time of for my wedding or something. I know the simple solution is to quit but my moral compass is straining big time on this one. They'll be left with two people to run a 24/7 business.

I was wondering how to even begin talking to my manager about not committing for four years. I told her I'd think about it, but she's beginning to just assume I'll do it. She can get pretty emotional and I was wondering a tactful and possible no-tears way to break the news to her so maybe I can get out of this trap. Thanks for reading all this and any help would be great!

  • How would I get my 93 Mercury Sable LS (3.8 L) up and running again?

My car has been broken down since about January. Mostly it was my fault for not maintaining it properly, I was unemployed for a couple months and couldn't get the oil changed or the radiator flushed. I drove it to Riverton about 30 miles away and it overheated, I'm thinking cause I didn't flush the radiator. Now it won't start at all so I'm thinking the battery is dead too. Did not flushing the radiator totally destroy my car? Would an oil change, new battery, and a flush help things? Any help would be great, thanks.
