Hello there! Asking this for some input. You can answer without reading the rest of this question if you want, but I do not recommend it.

Here we go:

In Genesis, Satan gives Adam and Eve the gift of knowledge of right and wrong by the way of the fruit from the tree. God sees this as "bad" or a "sin," and punishes Adam and Eve by taking away their immortality and kicking them out of the Garden they lived in. God could have forgiven them (I've heard from many christians that god is loving and forgiving,) and seen that they wouldn't have known not to eat from the tree in the first place, but he decides to basically kill them instead.

Also god hates knowledge apparently and sees it as a sin... interesting.

See the book of Job where Satan bets god that Job will curse him if his life is made miserable enough. God kills Job's children (NOT Satan,) and Job ends up not cursing god (even though god would have deserved it,) so Satan loses the bet.

As well, the book itself can't decide if Satan is tied up or free to roam the Earth:

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.

Job 1:7

"Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."

All Satan seems to do in the bible is test god and his followers. There is no record of him killing anybody, torturing them, or sending a plague onto them.

Now, let's take a look at God's crimes:

God destroys all life on Earth in a great flood, except for a drunk (Noah) and his family, for failing to worship him.

God's tenth plague upon the Israelites was the unjustified murder of all firstborn sons in Egypt, which undoubtedly included little children.

Before sending the plagues to Egypt, God "hardened Pharaoh's heart" so that he wouldn't let the Israelites go, so he could have an excuse to visit horrible plagues upon them, like boils, killing cattle and murdering all firstborn sons. (Exodus 4:21)

God orders the Levites to kill their "every man and his neighbor" for worshiping another god. This cost 3000 lives. (Exodus 32:27)

God sends a plague to the Israelites, apparently feeling that mass-butchery wasn't enough of a punishment. (Exodus 32:35)

God kills Onan for refusing to impregnate his late brother's (whom God also slew) wife and instead "spilling his seed on the ground." (Genesis 38:8-10)

God kills the entire populations of Soddom and Gammorah (again, including women, children and infants) for practicing certain sexual techniques.

God kills over 50,000 people for looking at an ark. (1 Samuel 6:19)

God kills 70,000 people because King David decided to have a census. (1 Chronicles 21:7-14)

God approves of slavery, and instructs owners to beat their slaves. (Proverbs 29:19)

And, finally, God makes sure that if you are guilty of even the smallest transgression, you shall suffer endlessly for all eternity, following a dramatic homecoming for Jesus, who will be extremely ticked off at everyone for putting him to death, even though it was just the Romans and even though he knew what was going to happen beforehand, and he could have easily avoided it by using his power as God to perform a miracle and prove who he was.

But okay... "this isn't the same god as the new testament! Old testament is wrong, and should be excluded!"

Okay then; there goes your entire story of Genesis... making god sending his son to die for our "sins" in the New Testament rather pointless. It also removes god taking away our immortality in Genesis, yet people still die in the rest of the book.

SO... How, why, is Satan the "evil one"? Tell me, and back it up with evidence, please.

Hi there. I'm trying to paint more realistically in my drawings, but I am unsure of just what I should be coloring with.

I have a MacBook, and I usually dont have a mouse...

I do so remember fondly two particular songs, but the names of both escape my mind.

The first starts off with a telephone ringing, picks up and it's very fast. I remember my sister failing it a lot (not that I could have any hopes in beating it either.)

The second is more of an CGI amv; there are 3 knights, sorcery... the vocalist is female and I can't remember what language it is in (it wasn't Japanese.)

If anyone can name these, I would appreciate it.

For some reason, it decided to just up and quit trying to spin.

If you flip the switch on, you can hear the electricity running through it, but it only moves for a split second before stopping again.

Anyone have any ideas of what's wrong, and/or how to fix it?

And do you do any research from the source themselves, or do you just listen to what the people who hate them have to say about them?

Sex before/after (or both,) should there be a ceremony/just paperwork, same-sex/opposite genders, etc?

It's female and male vocals, definitely Metal, has screaming in it. The only lyrics I could make out was something like "everyone tries too hard" and I heard the word "creation" in it, but I can't find the song on Google.

Yeah... at random times of the day it seems, the Internet will just shut down completely... the wireless, that is. No pattern to it, it'll just cease to work.

YET every computer that is on wireless will continue to show a full signal bar, and an option to connect to it... it doesn't go anywhere though.

The computer that is the source (and wired) will continue to work just fine though.

Everything is hooked up right, so I don't know what else it would be; plus the wireless has a passcode on it.

Wireless model is a Linksys E1000, provider is Bright House (Time Warner.)

I'm really curious as to if there is one where I don't have to work with people face to face, I dont have to vocally communicate with people, and yet is a paid job... kind of like being a Game Master on an MMO, but unlike that, being something that doesn't have any job prerequisites.

I'm just sitting here playing an MMO... and every time my mom uses the fax machine's phone to make a call it, or even if someone picks it up... disconnects the modem. Lights turn red and all that.

This has been going on for a couple of months now...

Okay so I play WoW... yeah.

I log into the main capital, take one step, and the game freezes. The screen goes black, and when it reboots everything looks screwed up with the error "Driver stopped responding." I really don't know what to do about this... This happens in some of the new zones too.

I've tried to manually update the drivers a while back, only to be told "No updates available."

I've tried updating them with one of Micro$oft's programs, only to hit a wall due to a "oh hey to find out what you need you have to pay for this."

Am I stuck, or is there a way to fix this?

(Asking this for my mom since shes not too tech savvy.)

Fridge is making a weird vibrating/grinding sound and I dunno what it is, neither does she.

Changing the temp settings makes it stop momentarily, so does opening the door... but it just starts back up again.

I did it before with some program but... I don't remember how. I don't have enough space on my Harddrive to install the PTR (Public test Realms,) and I'd really like to play.

Sort of a multi-question post here...

I really don't know what is really wrong with the computer I use to play World of Warcraft on, but it loves to blue screen at the worst possible times and does it at least twice every day (when I play WoW.) Most of the time it does it when I'm in the middle of a raid, but sometimes it just does it when I'm standing around in a city (mainly Dalaran.)

I think it might be either the GFX Card or a heating/cooling problem, but I'm unsure. Also how do I make the fans run faster? I did it once but I forgot.

And also how do I make it so the computer stays powered on when it blue screens? I want to see about writing down the error it gives.

I keep plugging it in with the USB cord, but it doesn't charge.

The computer I usually used to sync it with got a new operating system (Mint/Linux) installed on it (usually it charges on there.)

I'm trying to charge it on my BF's computer (Windows XP) since I'm here for the week.

Is there any way to make it charge? I prefer to listen to music when walking around in college, and it would be appreciated if I knew how to fix it.
