  • When a family member buys you a shirt you detest?

For my birthday my brother bought me a shirt. Maybe his intentions were good but it was a shirt I would not be seen dead in. He questioned what was wrong with it. I said there was nothing wrong with it it just isnt my style. If he knew me at all he would have gotten me one that I actually liked. Has anyone here ever been in this situation or do you know how to deal with family who buy you stuff you clearly do not like?

  • Stopping people visiting a dying relative?

Some time back, my father passed away. A man and woman who he knew well visited him. Their visit was much appreciated. However their daughter who I do not like also visited. Thankfully I was not there during that visit. If I had been I would have turned their daughter away. She had absolutely no business to be there whatsoever. Has anyone ever been in this situation?

  • When a relative turns you away?

When you go to visit a relative and they turn you away when you were just showing concern. Doesnt that really say a lot more about them than it does about you?

Also if that said relative decides to visit your dying close family member without even apologising for their behaviour. Would you not be entitled to ask them to apologise for their earlier behaviour before they visit?
