Do you agree with Locke or Descartes?

Locke: We form our experiences and minds through sensations, both internally (thinking/reflecting) and externally (5 senses, touch, taste, etc.)

Descartes: Our senses deceive us in the formation of our mind. For example, a candle and a melted candle feel nothing alike, and if left to our senses alone, we wouldn't be able to figure out what happened. (I think, therefore I am, if you know what I mean.)

I know that you can be qualified to get the eye surgery while you're serving. I'm wondering what kind of requirements there are, and at what time can I get it?

I was thinking maybe I could get it done as soon as boot camp is over, but I'm not sure about if there's a rank or time requirement that I have to serve.

Basically what makes the Supreme Court want to hear some cases over others?

So my girlfriend and I have been having sex for over 6 months now, but about 3 months ago out of the blue, she said it started to hurt. I thought, okay, that just means I did well, but the pain persists almost every time we try. I'd say 90% of the time it hurts her, and I feel bad to the point where we've almost completely stopped. We went from having it 2-3 times a day to once every three weeks or so. I'm not a pig, I'm inquiring because I'm generally concerned with my girlfriend's health!

We used a condom for the first 2 months or so, and it didn't hurt her. Then we started to not use one (please don't badger me right now about unprotected sex), and all was good for a month or so. Then her vaginal area started to get red and irritated every time we have sex. She said it didn't hurt because she was sore, it hurt because it burned/itched during and afterwards. We have both been tested for STD's, and are both negative for any. She went to a gynecologist and sees them regularly, but to no avail. Their best guess is that it's from the actual motion of going in and out, and the friction is causing irritation. So we tried lube, and it helps sometimes but she says it still hurts about half the time.

I'm wondering if anyone has had similar experiences? When we used condoms, we used Trojans, but once we used a Skyn condom. Now I've heard mixed raves and rants about those, but one woman said that she used it, but then months later she began to get irritated. So could it be Skyn?

We're still in high school. We've been talking for about 3 weeks now, and I asked her to prom and she said yes. I'm confident she would say yes to dating, we both really like each other. but I was wondering if Valentines day was a good day to do it, or if that's really lame...help me out ladies!

I'm on Verizon and I have an upgrade available. Which would you go with-the new iPhone 4S or a Droid?

From what I hear, the droids are just as fast as the iPhones, but the droids also have a short battery life. Any suggestions/tips appreciated.

I was wondering if law schools look at some majors with more consideration than others for admission. I'd personally like to major in something like Psychology so that if I decide I don't want to go to law school, I would have something to fall back on that I enjoy. I hear that political science and criminal justice are popular categories, but most careers in those fields don't interest me.

It seems so for me. When I think about sports (like a meet I have the next day), I will think about it for a while, and once I "snap out of it", I realize that my whole body is tense.

Do you have a specific thought you like to go to first? Do certain thoughts make you ease up?

I haven't played either one at all, so I want to make a good investment. Black Ops seems to be the big thing right now, but which do you think will be a better long term game? I have played both Halo 3 and most of the COD series, so I'm not totally new. I'll be playing for the multiplayer mostly, so the campaign isn't a big deal.
