  • Tips for Interrail Travel?

    Hello!

Next week I'll be going to Prague to start my interrail travel, and I'm wondering if any experienced travellers have any good tips for me!? I've been backpacking before, but not interrail and not in Europe, so I'm a bit unsure what to expect! I'll be travelling Prague-Austria-Slovenia-Croatia-Italy (Cro-Italy by boat).

Any tips about packing, travelling, warnings and do- and don't's would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • What do you associate with these names?

I did this game a few weeks ago and it got quite a good responce, so I thought I'd do another one. All I want you to do is write down what comes to mind when you see each name. For example when you see the name Paris you could think "Hilton", "France", "Dog", "Pretty" or whatever else comes to mind:)

    The names are:

    Lily

    Verona

    Cordelia

    Gabrielle

    Lisa

    Maddison

    Alistair

    Maximillian

    Tomas

    Liam

    Theodore

  • Beach cities in Croatia?

Hello me and a couple of friends are going on an interrail through Europe this summer, we'll probably stop by Croatia, and we're hoping to get a few days at the beach. But as we don't know much about the country, we're at a loss of where to go.

Can anyone reccomend a few coastal cities/towns with an alright beach (and good train connections), would be great if it wasn't a major tourist spot, but we'll take what we get:)

  • Percy Jackson series. Some insight please?

I've just seen the lightning thief, and I have mixed feelings about the movie. I think the idea and plot is very interesting, I love the mix of mythology and the modern world.

Anyway my question is about the differences between the book and the movie, I've only read a small exert from the book, and I didn't think it was really my thing, but after seeing the movie I think I might start reading it again.

Is the book very different from the movie? Are there lots of things that weren't included in the movie? I felt the movie was a bit rushed, it seemed like there were only major events taking place, you rushed from one climax to another in no time, and you didn't really have time to know the characters... Is the book better than the movie? Would you recommend reading it?

    Hello!

What names have you recently started to "get into"? They don't need to be favorites, or on your list, but are there any new names you've recently grown affectionate of?

    ¤ Maxmillian

    ¤ Leonardo

List as many as you like, and give reasons if you can:)

  • The Boys name "Jan" ...?

    Hello!

The boys name "Jan" was incredibly popular in Norway a while back, from 1940-1973 it was the most used name in Norway for baby boys, and in the year preceding and following this period the name was in the top10.

Jan is pronunced Yaan (Long A sound) or Yahn, and it's a danish version of the name John.

What do you think of the name? Would you use it? Do you prefer Jan or John?

  • Will Twilight be Remembered?

Ok, I know this is asking for trouble, but I had to ask:

Do people believe the Twilight series will be remembered? Is this a hype that will pass or do you think this will go down in litterature history as one of the great ones from the 21st century?

I mean as time passes only a few books from each decade or century will be remembered, is the twilight series good enough to be one of the few?

    :)

    I'll give my opinion later!

  • Try This Name Association Game?

    Hi.

I just wanted to try this little name game to see what people associate with different names. It's quite easy for each name you just write the first word you think of when you see it... For example if you see "Harry" you might think "Harry Potter" or when you see "Kieran" you might think "Irish". Just write whatever word pops into your brain when you see each name:)

    Give it a go:

    ¤ Isabella

    ¤ Nevaeh

    ¤ Maddox

    ¤ Jordan

    ¤ Cindy

    ¤ McKenzie

    ¤ Edward

    ¤ Luna

    ¤ Bob

    ¤ Ingrid

  • WDTY of the baby name Esther?

Alright, I couldn't stand this name before, I thought it was such an "old woman's" name, and I couldn't understand why anyone would name their kid Esther.

But then I met an adorable, sweet little girl names Esther, and recently the name has started to grow on me. It's far from a favorite, and I wouldn't use it, but it's kind of nice.

What do you think of it? Could it have a "comeback" as many other old fashioned names have recently? ^^,

    Just curious!
