3 AnswersMathematics3 years agoWhat are the best fields to become an entrepreneur in right now?
I'm a junior with a 4.0 GPA studying Mechanical Engineering after 5 years in the Marines in the signals intelligence field. I'm watching my GI Bill dry up and am not looking forward to going into debt for the rest of the degree just to have a piece of paper that qualifies me to start working for someone else. I want to become an entrepreneur in a field where I can apply my knowledge and experience. Any suggestions? Anyone looking for a business partner?
P.S. -This is not the only tool that I'm using to make future decisions, so all the internet heros out there can rest assured.
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)3 years agoWhich PC should I opt for? Used Dell Optiplex 780, or cheap DIY? Computer experts only please.?
I need a new desktop computer, but I'm not sure what I should go with. I really want something that will be fast for streaming and overall operation with a reasonably large amount of storage. I DO NOT need it for gaming, but I would like to be able to use it for photoshop and music recording, but it will mostly be used for internet streaming and school work. I am trying to stay under $150. Would buying a high quality tower from 2010 be a decent option?
I would prefer Windows 7, as I HATE windows 10.

1 AnswerChemistry4 years agokeyboard issues with toshiba satellite laptop.?
I bought the l;aptop new in Jan. 2015. Its a cheap toshiba satellite, windows 8. It let us update to windows 10. In January 2016 it did an update that screwed the keyboard up. Many random keys type the completely wrong characters, or multiple wrong characters at a time. Over time I just used an external keyboard, and I noticed that the built in keyboard started changing the wrong keys it would type. I finally reset it to factory settings to see if that would work. It did not. The wrong keys it typed returned to how it was right after the update that screwed it up. Does anyone know where the problem may be?

2 AnswersChemistry4 years agoChemistry Help needed. My lab manual is asking for a strange answer with precipitation reaction.?
"Write the balanced equation for the reaction of aqueous sodium carbonate and
aqueous calcium chloride dihydrate to form solid calcium carbonate and aqueous
sodium chloride. Include phase labels for each reactant and product. Don’t forget the
water."
I've checked everywhere, and I can't find anywhere else where water was a reagent or product in the reaction. Do they literally want me to add H2O in the reaction somewhere?!
2 AnswersChemistry4 years agoHelp? I have no idea how to answer this pre-calculus question.?
According to Coulomb's law, the force F of attraction between positive and negative point charges is inversely proportional to the square of the distance x between them.
According to Coulomb's law, the force F of attraction between positive and negative point charges is inversely proportional to the square of the distance x between them.
(a) Assuming that the force of attraction between two point charges is 0.0005 newton when the distance between them is 0.3 meter, find the constant of proportionality (with proper units).
(b) Find the force of attraction between the point charges when they are 3 meters apart. Give the absolute value of the force rounded to 7 decimal places.

1 AnswerSoftware4 years agoHow to make sugar from pure corn starch? For fermenting purposes.?
I'm planning on making a distillers beer (mash) from pure corn starch. I don't like mashing with bulky grains so I am curious how a pure grocery store starch mash would turn out. So far I plan to use enzymes to convert the starch to sugar, but the main issue I am running into is knowing how much starch to add. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

2 AnswersMathematics4 years agoWhy would my questions not even be posted on yahoo answers?
In the last week I have posted 4 questions, really only two, but after not getting any answers I decided to repost. Out of all 4, there are still 0 answers. I dont know if this one will even make it to be viewed. What could have caused this? The questions were very neutral, about college and running.
3 AnswersYahoo Answers4 years agoI am trying to test into calculus I and skip precalculus. The test is called the TCDI and I need advice from anyone who has take it.?
I am preparing to take the the accuplacer to skip precalc and test into Calculus I. I go to Pikes Peak Community College, and I believe that the accuplacer is called the TCDI. I took college algebra and got an A in the class, and I have been studying Trigonometry separately in my own time. I have to get an 82 percent on this placement test to get into Calc I, and I want to make sure that I have prepared for it properly. If anyone else has taken this or a similar accuplacer, can you please answer the following questions: 1. Does this test just test knowledge of precalculus, or does it require existing knowledge in calculus I as well? Also, what are some good places to visit online to prepare for this test?

1 AnswerStandards & Testing4 years agoShould I copy-write a new product?
I'm opening a business on etsy soon, and I'm going to be selling custom crafts, one of which I think will sell very well and is unique. Its a specific type of photo frame that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I personally don't care if other people start copying the design, but what scares me is that someone else might copywrite my own design and keep me from producing it. Can you even copywrite something like a photo frame design? Please only answer if you have knowledge in this area. Thanks
4 AnswersSmall Business4 years agoHow to pay employees/labor in this specific scenario?
An economics professor at my community college who runs an “Entrepreneurs club” has received permission to start a small student based business on campus. We are planning to start a food stand and are still discussing the specifics. The biggest thing we are unsure about is the best way to pay the students who work the stand. We are thinking of doing a commission based pay to avoid losing money at first. Profits will go mostly to paying the students and funding future projects. The community college is in Colorado. Any input from business owners is greatly appreciated.
