I have been the proud owner of my Asus N61JQ series laptop for almost 2 years now. Normally I run a lot of software on it at once and I've never had a problem with speed and heat.

This past semester, I studied abroad in Spain. I just got back this week. As of about a month and a half ago, my laptop started overheating, and often. If I Skyped for too long, if I rendered a video, if I was working with big programs like Photoshop, sometimes even if I was just browsing the internet, my computer would completely overheat and turn off without warning nor saving what I was working on.

I am back in America and this is still happening. My charger that I brought to Spain (I used a converter to plug it in) doesn't work properly unless it's held at a certain angle, I'm having to use my extra charger that I left at home. My computer still overheats, in the past day it has done it 3 times.

What can I do? Is this a battery problem? I know it can't be the charger because I've used the two different ones in the past day and it has turned off with both. What is happening?

I'm fairly new to Perl. I wrote a script to rename my mp3 files in a given folder based on their metadata tags. My script works, however it only works if the actual file is in the same folder as the given folder. How do I fix that so it can take in any folder without going in that folder?

And could you explain a bit how you got to the answer please?

I have a string that has a ton of random characters (pulled from a webpage). I want to pull all of the numbers, commas, hyphens, periods, and percentages from the page and put them into a text file.

I'm new to C++ so I'm not sure how I'd go about doing this. I'm pretty sure I can write to a text file, but pulling the numbers and those symbols has been a bit of a struggle.

How should I do this? Please don't just link me to a help site, I've scoured the internet already. :)

I have a list of links that I have gotten from an XML document with Python. I want to get the latest link, get the file that it links to, and move that file to a directory on my computer. How can I do this?

I'm monitor shopping. I have a laptop currently but I could really use another monitor to multitask.

I've been referred to newegg.com and tigerdirect.com, but I'm not entirely sure what would be best.

I'd like a widescreen monitor (at least 19") that costs less than $200. I'd prefer if it could swivel and tilt, a bonus would be height adjustments. Or something like that.

Is there such a monitor? What do you recommend?

I have a flash drive where my jar file is, where the images for it is, and a video.

I want to be able to run everything on my flash drive on another computer. Everything is working except for the jar. When I tried making it into an exe file, it said that the Java Runtime Enviroment wasn't found. What should I do? I need it to run on a public computer.

There's this girl who I think has some sort of mental problem or disorder or learning disability or something, her boyfriend has it too.

They go to some kind of dance where they dress up, the boy wears a dog costume and she wears this big dress, I thought it was a swan but I'm not sure.

The mom of this girl teaches her how to dance at some point.

There's this placement test of some kind in their school and the girl passes it and in her excitement says, "I love everyone," but her boyfriend, still in his costume, ends up lying down in the hallway that they're in because he didn't make it.

I know this is a very bad summary but I can't think of what this movie is!!

I have an iPod Touch 2nd generation and when I plug it in everything runs perfectly. Except for the amount of times each song is played. Some are believable, like I'm sure I've listened to a particular song at least 100 times. But in the Top 25, there's some songs that say they've been played over 1000 times, and in my normal playlists some songs that haven't been played at all?
