Where did the saying "I love you to death" come from?

There was this book I read when I was in elementary school about a young girl who had an uncle or cousin (male family member) who lived with her who was mentally retarded or had downs syndrome. The title had the word Clown in it. In the story I don't think the girl was ashamed of her family member but had to deal with a lot of heckling from peers. I believe at the end of the story the guy dies. Does this ring a bell to anyone or am I the only one who read this book???

Don't get me wrong it was a good movie but come on ITS JUST A MOVIE!!! Who cares about team jacob or team edward, cuz she ends up with edward. If you want to know when the movie comes out on dvd or if they are making New Moon checkt the movie's freaking website. Just shut up about the freaking movie already JEEZE!!!!

In the Harry Potter series there is a black dog named Sirius. There is also Sirius Satellite Radio and their mascot is a little black dog. Is there any correlation between the two? Did the radio get the name Sirius from the books or vice versa. Or do they nothing to do with each other?
