Is there a certain zodiac sign that's most likely to create a religious person?
For example: A Gemini may be more likely to be a religious person than a Scorpio, but the highest likelihood of any sign to be a religious person is a Capricorn. (I'm just putting random signs in there in hopes that you will better understand my question, I'm not saying this is any kind of fact.)
I don't know if that makes any sense, I just know some signs tend to be more spiritual than others. I'm wondering if there is a sign or two that's possibly the "most religious".
I hope that wasn't too stupid of a question. I'm just barely getting into astrological signs, and was wondering.
7 AnswersHoroscopes9 years agoI have a couple questions about Jack Kerouac?
First of all, I just finished On the Road last night, and started reading The Dharma Bums. I enjoy the books, but I also don't. Maybe some things need clarifying.
1. When did Jack suddenly start claiming that he was a Buddhist? There was no talk of this in On the Road, and now in the Dharma bums, he's all into it.
2. I'm guessing that he was a closet homosexual. His endless search for Neal Cassady, and the way he describes him in On the Road. There were a couple times throughout the book where Neal has a girl, and he doesn't, and he seems to be more jealous of the girl than anything.
3. Were Neal and Jack ever romantically involved?
4. This isn't really a question, but I don't like how he rambles. There are some sentences in both books that are like half of a page long. Am I missing something? I know he was always drunk and loved Benny tubes, but I'm still confused.
5. What significance did his writing really have? There are certain passages in On the Road that put me in awe, but I don't really get it. The beats were the first hippies or something?
I know I'm being really critical, I'm just rather confused. I guess it's hard for a 20 year old kid to grasp the beats. Some clarification would be awesome. Thank you!
1 AnswerBooks & Authors9 years agoWho handles the record distribution of bands who aren't together anymore?
For example, Jimi Hendrix is dead, but obviously brand new copies of his music are still being made and sold in stores. Is it his record label who does this? What happens if a label refuses to continue making records for someone like Hendrix? Obviously it's unlikely since they make so much money from artists like this, but set that aside for now.
1 AnswerRock and Pop9 years agoDoes anyone else like Adele?
I think Adele is far more superior than any other artist topping the charts this year. I feel like artists tend to forget their roots. Adele's music is still tasteful. Lady Gaga is capable of being great but she writes wishy washy, bland pop songs. Adele has soul.
What are your thoughts?
9 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoPenalties of having a hedgehog in Arizona?
I would really like to get a hedgehog, but they are illegal in Arizona. How would I be able to get one, and what would be the penalties of me getting caught with one? I'm not joking, although this question may seem a bit odd.
2 AnswersOther - Pets9 years agoRecommend me some good rap?
I'd like to expand my rap horizons more. I like Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Mos Def, Tech N9ne, that's about it. Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi are ok. I like music with good flow, minimal auto tune, real hip hop. No Lil' Wayne or Kanye West please.
If you could recommend me some good tracks by The Roots too. I wanna get into them.
9 AnswersRap and Hip-Hop9 years agoWhat is Warewolf by Cocorosie about?
Everyone has their theories, but does anyone really know what it's about? It's an amazing song. If you could recommend me some others that sound like it as well I'd appreciate it.
1 AnswerRock and Pop10 years agoThe Velvet Underground and The Stooges?
So I've heard people say that The Velvet Underground and The Stooges created punk. I love VU, but I don't listen to much of Iggy Pop and the Stooges. Do they sound alike at all? What would be some good songs to start off with them? I know The Passenger and Lust For Life, that's about it.
3 AnswersRock and Pop10 years agoWhat's that song that's like oh love me do?

1 AnswerRock and Pop10 years agoWhat do you think of my next tattoo?
http://www.alice-in-wonderland.net/alicepic/alice-...
It's one of the original illustrations for the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. The White Rabbit is a symbol of intuition. The White Rabbit was the character that led Alice into Wonderland. It's a symbol of the doorway to the unknown. The doorway to spirituality.
7 AnswersTattoos10 years agoBands like Between the Buried and Me? Progressive metal?
Let me start off by saying that I don't like most metal, or any of its sub genres. However, I love the album Colors by Between the Buried and Me. I find it very unique how they incorporate so many genres of music into their songs. I love the composition. The time signature and key changes. It's truly some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. Please only recommend me music if you've heard the album, all of their other albums are different.
I'd like something progressive. It doesn't mater how heavy it is, as long as it immediately catches my attention. 99.99999% of these metal bands sound the same to me, I want something truly unique and attention grabbing. People hate BTBAM and I don't understand why. On that same note I don't know all that much about progressive metal (or whatever you wanna classify them as).
I don't care about genres. I don't care to break down a metal band and say they're this or that. Give me something that defies genre classification. Just don't give me some crappy metalcore band.
Thank you for reading my uneducated rant on music. Let me know if there's anything I might enjoy.

8 AnswersRock and Pop10 years agoWhat does the ending of Pi mean to you?
I've heard people say they think the part at the end with the girl in the park is some kind of afterlife for him. I think it's just a vision he hoped for of having some peace of mind.

1 AnswerRock and Pop10 years agoIntense sensation when I stretch my back?
I have a bad back, so I started stretching it 2 days ago. I sit down cross legged, and lean foreword, and try to reach my head as close to the ground as possible, almost as if I'm doing the butterfly. I place my hands on the back of my head. A couple seconds in, my back, my quads, or my abs (it changes every time) will start to burn, but it's a really good burn. when I sit back up, I feel a really nice sensation rush through my body, almost orgasmic. Is it because my muscles are so tight and they're finally getting some movement? I just want to make sure this is healthy and I'm not straining my back.
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness10 years agoHow on earth do I quit smoking!?
I'm 19. I quit everything else 8 months ago. I've had 2 open heart surgeries. I smoke a pack a day. I get really upset at myself. Smoking is a very infuriating habit, because the addiction is so powerful, but smoking itself really is disgusting when I really think about it. I almost had it 2 months ago. I was down to like 2 smokes a day.
I really need help. Can anyone tell me an effective way? I've never tried before, but the thought of it is scary. I have a very addictive personality, but I'm so done with this habit. I desperately need help, please. It's like when I got sober. I wanted to quit, but I didn't know how. This is different though. All of my friends smoke, and I work. So it's not like I can lock myself in a room for 3 days and go insane like that.

10 AnswersRock and Pop10 years agoMy lymph nodes are swollen after stretching ears?
So I gauged my ears to 1/2 inch about 3 years ago. I took them out about 2 months ago, hoping they would close. I decided to put them back in on Saturday, so I bought some 1/2 inch tapers and put them in. They didn't close up that much, so the actual stretch wasn't too bad.
The thing is, the glands behind my ears are REALLY swollen, and it's really uncomfortable. I'm not gonna take them out, because I know it's pretty normal, but is there anything I could do to ease the discomfort? I've been trying to smoke less, and I'm taking 600 mg ibuprofen once or twice a day.
Not smoking and taking them out are not options I'm considering, so anything else would be nice. Possibly working out, not working out, eating certain things, taking something like amoxicillin, ice or heat, anything you know that helps. It's Wednesday now, and it's getting really annoying. I'm a 19 year old male, average weight, normal diet, fairly consistent sleep patterns. I work out 3 or 4 times a week, but haven't since the stretch. Thank you.
