  • Mobile home on private land in Wisconsin?

I am thinking about purchasing a piece of land and putting a manufactured home on it. I live in southeast Wisconsin and would like to stay in the area, somewhere in Washington, Ozaukee, Waukesha, or Milwaukee County. I'm trying to find information on where you can legally put a manufactured home on private land and any restrictions. This is my first time doing something like this, so I am just trying to collect information. I will appreciate if anyone has any experience regarding finding land, or experience you may personally have putting a manufactured home on private land.

  • Best Lesson from South Park?

What's the most important lesson you've learned from watching South Park? I like Stan's lesson about discipline from the episode "Bloody Mary." He said that being all or nothing about drinking means it still has control over you just as much as being an alcoholic. Learning to do stuff in moderation is a result of discipline, which comes from within.

  • Why will the NRA no longer offer its basic pistol course after 5/15/2016?

I was looking at the NRA course list on their website, and I noticed that they will not offer their basic pistol course after May of this year. Why are they not going to offer the course anymore? Here is a link, if you want to check it out. http://www.nrainstructors.org/CatalogInfo.aspx?cid...

  • How accurate is the Savage Mark II GY?

This is the youth model of the Savage Mark II G and has a 10-round magazine. I am considering this as my first rifle because I am a little short, and it fits me perfectly. I also checked out at the Ruger American Rimfire Compact in the store, which is about the same size, but I just like the look and feel of the Savage better. I have seen videos on YouTube of the Mark II's accuracy, but none for the GY version. Can anyone who knows about or has this model tell me what group sizes you get and at what distances? Also, what ammunition works well in it and is accurate? Thank you.

  • What are some bolt action .22s with internal magazines?

I would like to buy a bolt action .22 with internal magazine. The only one I have been able to find is the Marlin XT-22 with tubular magazine, but that gun is illegal in my state (I live in Connecticut). Does anybody know of any other bolt action .22s with internal magazines? Also, we are limited to 10-round magazines.

  • Is the Marlin XT-22TR and legal in Connecticut?

The new gun bill SB 1160 bans magazines that can hold ten rounds or more. The bill says, "'Large capacity magazine' means any firearm magazine, belt, drum, feed strip or similar device that has the capacity of, or can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than ten rounds of ammunition, but does not include: . . . (B) a . 22 caliber tube ammunition feeding device, (C) a tubular magazine that is contained in a lever-action firearm . . . " So does that mean that a bolt action .22 that has a tubular magazine and can hold more than ten rounds, such as the Marlin XT-22TR, is legal in Connecticut?

Update: Here is a link to the rifle. http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/xt/XT22.asp

  • If I have a layover in Chicago, could I get arrested for having a firearm in my checked baggage?

I will be traveling by plane soon, and I plan on checking my firearm in my checked luggage. I will be flying out from Salt Lake City. I have a Utah permit, but I will have a layover in Chicago. I do not have an Illinois permit. My friend told me that some people who have layovers in New York will get arrested if they have a layover there, even if their firearm is in their checked baggage. I know that Chicago is not really gun-friendly. I know that the law says you're allowed to travel with firearms if you have a layover, but people still get arrested. Could I be arrested there simply for having a layover while I have a checked firearm?

Is my pistol case okay for for flying on a plane?

I plan on flying with my firearm for the first time. I will be putting it in a lockable hard case and checking it in my luggage. I am going from Connecticut to Utah. I will be flying American Airlines going, and United Airlines coming back. I checked the TSA website as well as the websites for both the airlines to get specific requirements. I was thinking of putting it in the hard case that came with my Kahr. I heard that some airports have rejected certain hard cases, though. I don't know if I should buy another one or stick with the one I have. I'm kind of poor and don't want to spend the money if I don't have to. I called AA and asked what the requirements for the case were, but the person I talked to sounded like she had no clue and was just reading off of A COMPUTER screen. Here are pictures of it. Please look at the pictures and tell me what you think. Also, any other advise or personal experience you have from flying with a firearm is greatly appreciated.

  • What type of American flag is good for display in a shadow box or on a wall?

I have a nylon flag by Annin that 3' x 5'. I have it on display in a shadow box. I want to start displaying it on a pole outside and get another one for inside. I would like one that has embroidered stars and sewn stripes and is also 3' x 5'. I will display it in the shadow box, or on a wall. I thought maybe cotton would be good. What kind of material should it be made out of? Also, should it have grommets, pole hem, etc.? And what brands are good?

  • What is a good compact DA/SA 9mm pistol?

I would like to get 9mm DA/SA pistol that is slim, lightweight, and holds a good number of rounds. I carry a Kahr P380 and would like to get something a little bigger. I am a smallish female and have small hands, so guns with big grips are a challenge for me. I checked out the Sig P239, but it seems too heavy. I like the fact that it has a de-cocker and no safety, and I would like a gun that is like that one. Other guns I've checked out, like ones from Walther, Bersa, and Beretta, all seem to be too big. I live in Connecticut, and we are limited to 10-round magazines. Please let me know what models you recommend.

  • Can you carry a gun to work in Connecticut?

If you are allowed to, do I have to inform my employer that I have a gun? I don't planning on working in or around schools, government property, or other gun-free zones. I would appreciate any references you could give me.

  • Opinions on the Diamondback DB9 second generation?

I am considering buying the Diamondback DB9 pistol, but I have heard mixed reviews on it. I heard that the second generation ones are better, but a lot of the reviews out there are from the first generation ones. Is there anyone who has a second generation Diamondback DB9 who can tell me their experiences with the gun? Specifically, I would like to know 1) how many rounds have you shot, 2) what kinds of ammunition have you used, and 3) how many and what kinds of issues have you had with it? Thank you.

  • Your experiences with open carry in Connecticut?

I am getting my pistol permit, and so far I plan on carrying concealed. I have a friend who is encouraging me to open carry, so I am considering that as a possibility. But I would like to know what have been the experiences of those who choose to open carry in Connecticut. Even though open carry is legal, I have heard of people getting stopped by the police for questioning and sometimes arrested for breach of peace for openly carrying (although I heard that those charges ended up being dismissed and no one has been convicted recently). I asked a former Connecticut policeman about it, and he said that you should never open carry because you could be arrested for breach of peace. Even though it's a bogus charge, I still hear that people get arrested for it. So I want to know if any of you open carry in Connecticut, and if so, what have been your experiences? Also, how have your interactions been with the general public and police?

  • Is a handgun with capacity 10+1 legal in Connecticut?

The new bill SB 1160 says that magazines can carry only 10 rounds. So does that mean that a gun that holds 10+1 is illegal? I'm not sure because technically the one is not part of the magazine. So is the law saying that the gun cannot hold more than 10 period? I am looking to take the class to get my pistol permit. I was looking at the SCCY CPX-2 CB 9mm Pistol, which I heard holds 10+1. Here is a link. http://www.sccy.com/products/cpx-2-tt-9mm
