I’m looking forward to settle down at one of these states, if anyone has any ideas about one or all of them, please help me out, I’m doing research but I also want to hear from locals (if there is any, if not hopefully those who visited those places): North Carolina, Texas, Illinois.

I need these facts: cuisine (MUST included), crime rate, hospitality, economy, anything else you’d like to tell me feel free to do so, and also, if there is a state that you think is best fit for me, please suggest and giving those facts about that state too. I like a state that has great LOCAL food, have something to see and do, generally safe, military-friendly preferable, and not down right poor.

This is the first time I vote. I'm not registered with any political party, however, I am a big fan of the G.O.P and I want to be a Republican, but when I read the directions in the Voter Registration Form, it said

"No person shall be entitled to vote the ballot of any political party unless he/she has registered with that party. However, if a voter has declined to state a political party affiliation, and the political party permits it, the unaffiliated voter may vote in the party's primary election."

I don't understand it, what should I do? And if I have to registered with the Republican Party how can I do that?

so the thing is my eye doctor said that he think I may have glaucoma, he just think so, and suggest me to go to a specialist to make sure. But I know that glaucoma is a D.Q, so I think that right now I have not be diagnosed with glaucoma (I'm just a glaucoma suspect), and so if they ask me about this at MEPS, I can say "No" right?

What I concern is will they be able to find out that I have glaucoma when they do the eyes test there at the MEPS? and if they do find out, can I just ask for a waiver? because even if I do have glaucoma my it's not that serious because my vision is still good like a normal person and I know that glaucoma is not something that happen right away but develop slowly over time, so I think if I made it to the Marines before thing goes serious (before I get diagnosed with glaucoma officially), then I'll be fine.

Hi, I'm a high school junior and I'm looking for an opportunity to join the U.S.A.F, I know that there's a AF ROTC program, I think this program is only available in certain school, I've heard people said that I have to pay for the Air Force for my benefits later which I don't really understand. I'm mean like if I join the ROTC, all I have to do is have my commitment and serve for certain years, and then the ROTC of the Army will pay for me to go school right? So how comes the A.F want me to pay, is this like some kind of tuition? or like an enlist fee? because I really want to serve, but by my knowledge not my money, and my family financial problem is very tough, so I don't think they will like the idea of paying for me to join. So if you guys know about this clearly, please explain for me! And if I don't use the AF ROTC, and just take regular classes in college and university, will I still have a change to become an A.F officer? I want to be in the Space command, so what kind of degrees that I need to work there? Thank you for your help!

But, because I came here in the mid-school year, therefore I only attended half sophomore year and pass all the classes with 90% A, now I'm in my junior year. I suppose to graduate in May, 2012. However my counselor and I make a check on my graduate requirements and firgured out that even though I pass this junior year and the next senior year, I still have 15 credits short. She shows me some solutions:

1. Attend after school program to earn creadit, which me and my family dislike, and I'm serious dont have time after school, so forget this.

2. Attend summer school which mean I'll go to Skyline College and take whatever classes, just make sure I pass and got 5 college credits which will solve my shortage problem. But the issue is my family said that college is very very hard and I'm not good enough to pass the class, and if I failed it will permantely go to my record and I will not be able to transfer to University later, so they told me that I have to go ask my counselor for one more year high school extend, which I personally don't believe. Because like I said, now I'm junior and I'll be 18 this year, so next senior year I already 18 which means I already late for a year, and I don't think that high school they will let me stay until I got all credits and graduate(especially in this kind of cutting budgets situation) , I believe that I will have to get out of high school at the end of my senior, not able to get my high school degree and go for the GED which I don't want either.

But my family keep telling me like I have the right to stay in high school for about 1 or 2 more years until I got all high school credits to get high school degree. Of course I'll ask my counselor, but now what do you guys think?

I also want to join the Armed Forces, and start to do some research, if any of you guys have experiences about this please tell me, which branch of the Armed Forces (A.F, Army, Navy) that I can join in case something happen and I cannot graduate now, or I can join as fast as possible? I was accidentally clicked on a virus site named tvf.clickpotato.tv, I quickly turn it off right after my virus detecting program gave me a warn, I restart the pc as recommended, however, I found out that the virus site is automatically accessing the pc w/out me clicking or do anything related to it, I delete the cookies and history of this site but if keep appearing again and again in the Web History, I have Norton Security but is there way to block this virus site forever? thank you!
