Can the Twins win the division?
I think they still can even though they are now 8 games behind Detroit. There is a lot of baseball to be played and nobody is running away with the division. I also don't think the Tigers are that great of a team despite the way they are playing lately. The only thing that gives me hope right now is that a couple of years ago, the Twins were 7.5 games back on September 7th and they ended up winning the division. So being 8 games back on August 2nd doesn't seem very bad compared to that. The way I see it, if the Twins can get within 4 games of 1st place by the end of the month, they should be in pretty good shape. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part, but I never count the Twins out. Thoughts?
11 AnswersBaseball10 years agoWhich team has had the best offseason?
I think the Minnesota Wild have had a really good offseason. They drafted really well by selecting a shutdown Defenseman in Jonas Brodin and a high scoring forward in Zack Phillips. At the draft they also acquired Devin Setoguchi and an outstanding prospect in Charlie Coyle. Last but certainly not least, they acquired a dynamic scorer in Dany Heatley. The future of the wild looks pretty good
10 AnswersHockey10 years agoWhat will the Timberwolves do with the #2 pick?
Drafting Derrick Williams doesn't make a lot of sense because they already have Michael Beasley. I think they are going to try to trade the pick. There are pretty intense rumors going around that the Wolves are going to try to acquire Pau Gasol from the Lakers. I think Gasol would be willing to come to Minnesota because he always praises Wolves PG Ricky Rubio. If the Wolves can swing a deal like this, they would be on the right track to finally turning this team around. Thoughts?
4 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWhat celebrity/famous person do people say you look like?
Do people ever say to you "Whoa! You look like (insert name)"? If so, I'm just curious to know who people supposedly look like.
For me, People always tell me that I look like Joe Mauer from the Minnesota Twins
9 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoShould I give it a shot with this girl?
I work with a girl who is awesome. We were in the same high school class and we graduated last week. I've grown to really like her and everything about her is great. I get the vibe that she is into me as well. It sucks because she is moving away to go to her college in a couple days. If I let her know how I feel before she leaves, it won't really accomplish anything because she won't be around anyways. What should I do about this situation?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoEarly picks for Rookie of the Year?
I understand that the season hasn't even started for most teams yet, but who are some rookies that you will be keeping your eye on this MLB Season?
I think it will be interesting to see how Tsuyoshi Nishioka plays for the Twins
Drew Stanton of the Marlins is another terrific young player, although i'm not sure if he is still considered a Rookie
9 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoWhat are the Minnesota Wild's chances of making the playoffs?
I think they have a decent chance if they can win their next game. In this packed western conference, 1 or 2 wins can totally change the landscape of the playoff race. Also, 8 of their final 13 games are at home, so i think if they get off of this road trip with a couple of wins, they will be alright. Thoughts?
6 AnswersHockey1 decade agoWhen you have a job interview and they ask you to say a weakness of yourself, what is a good thing to say?
It's hard to determine what to say when asked this question because if you don't say a weakness then they will think you are cocky, but on the other hand, you don't want to say anything that will hurt your chances. What are some acceptable answer to the question?
6 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoThis is a ridiculous question but i need something to provide me with hope?
I want to know if people think the Vikings can still make the playoffs. The realist in me tells me NO. But the optimist in me tells me yes. Even if they won the rest of their games and went 9-7, i still don't think it will be enough, but there is still a SLIM chance in my mind. Thoughts?
11 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoHow does Derek Boogard know if he is being booed?
I'm a Minnesota fan and Boogard played here for a number of years and fans usually cheer for him by yelling "BOOOO". He plays in Minnesota tonight and he wont be booed, but how would he know?
3 AnswersHockey1 decade agoIs community college looked down on?
I'm currently a senior in high school and i currently have a 3.6 GPA. My plan after high school is to go to a community college and earn my associates degree and then transfer to a university to complete my bachelors. I feel a little bit out of place because a lot of people in my school are talking about their colleges. Everything will transfer so there is really no risk there. I just think it makes the most sense to me. Is it a bad idea to start at a CC? Just for the record, money isn't an issue for me, i just figure if there is a way to save money, then it makes sense to do it
7 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoDo the twins still have a chance?
I think they can win 3 games. I'm confident that they have a pretty good chance. It's not like they've been getting blown out either. I like the twins chances because they face a phil hughes, a right hander, tonight and the twins have very good left handed hitters so they can probably hit a few into the short porch at yankee stadium. Also, CC sabathia pitches tomorrow on 3 days rest so he might not be as sharp. And if there is a game 5 i like the twins chances at target field. Thoughts?
8 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoWho is going to win the opener between the Vikings and Saints?
I would personally pick the Vikings. I feel like they have a more balanced offense. They have arguably the best running back in the league and they have a solid passing game. New Orleans has one of the better QBs in the league but the vikings will stuff the run so the Saints will become 1 dimensional. I have the Vikings winning by 10 points.
Who do you think will win and why??

I'm not one of those people that spends hours playing video games, but i enjoy them from time to time. My ps2 isn't able to read any discs anymore. When i put the disc in it says "Reading Disc" and then that just disappears. Occasionally i can get it to work if i just open and close it, but it is getting really frustrating. Any tips?

For example, when the United States played Ghana in the round of 16, they brought Tim Howard forward to play offense in desperation for a goal. Could Howard have punched the ball?
