10 AnswersYahoo Answers2 years agoShortening water temperature sensor does not turn radiator fans ON.?
Relay works. Shortening the relay contacts activates the fan as expected.
Sensor seems to be getting 5v and wires are thin so i dont think they would be 12v.
Car was in accident recently and things were replaced. After that fan did not work.
Also HONK not working as well. All fuses are good. i am puzzled. please help
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs2 years agoVoltage Divider Calculator is wrong ?
ohmslawcalculator dot com says i need so and so resistors to get desired voltage, but when i actually solder everything in place, results are close not not close enough. I would be wrong by at least a volt.
I was doing 15V drop to 12 and i ended up getting it with just random resistors VS what the formula suggested.
I tested each resistor before i solder them, all were new and in good value, yet resulting voltage was wrong.
Any ideas why that is ?
3 AnswersEngineering2 years agoCan i wire 120v to both legs ?
I want to backfeed 120v 30A into my breaker panel.
I will turn off main breaker and then turn on backfeed breaker that will supply 120v 30A to the panel.
I am using double pole breaker, but i only have one terminal connected right now.
Is it ok to jump both terminals with a wire to create connection to both legs in order to deliver power to more then one place in the house ?
Obviously i will turn unwanted breakers off (such as 240V)
Question is simply this: Can i connect both legs with a double pole breaker while generator is in use ?
I am using interlock mechanism to block both breaker to turn on at once. (obviously)
6 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)3 years agoI need a sensor that will work in a liquid with low conductivity in order to trigger a 12v relay. Any ideas ?
I tried soil moisture sensor like the one on the picture and it failed because liquid is not very conductive (if at all)
I need something else similar to this device.
Can someone help me please ?
Thanks
