I am so sad and hurt knowing that my loved one is suffering so bad after losing her child but she has bpd and there is literally nothing that she hears that make any sense to her. People want to be around her to show her love and support but her illness makes her very defensive and paranoid no matter what anyone says or does. she has always been this way but it is much worse now that she is in crisis. She says and does very harmful things to people but she cries and cries so much to me about the pain she is experiencing and how suicidal and alone she feels. how can i help her without her feeling "attacked?" She disagrees with everything that i say to her but she is getting worse and worse...please help me...

The child of a relative whom i am very close to recently died but my relative has bpd. She is suffering deeply and doesn't understand why no one can tolerate being in her presence through such a tough time. At times she is cold and cruel toward people and the things she says and does cuts them to the core...but by the same token she has such an endearing side to her. She has never gotten help for her disease and refuses to admit that the problem is her, and not practically everyone else in the world whom she has encountered.

Is there any way to help someone like this? It's just so painful to watch her suffer...also she is EXTREMELY aware and she has asked why she's treated the way she is but there have been many other times over the years where she has viciously turned on those who have attempted to tell her why....???? It hurts me so much to stand back and watch and listen. Is there ANYTHING that can be done in a situation like this?

What would you do if you found out that your best friend and your husband had been in Love far before you were friends with her and before you were married. She knew you were in love with him too so she stayed away for many years because of this. (she knew how much you wanted him and she wanted you to be happy...really...and you kinda knew that in your heart.) However, upon returning into your life years later, they are still in Love...(you and he are separated). What would you do? how do you think you would feel. what do you think they should do?

when you have that type of personality people who are "users" seem to gravitate toward you, knowing that they can play on your weeknesses. It gets to the point many times when you are not even able to take care of yourself or your own responsibilities because there are so many phone calls or knocks at the door! honestly... is there a way to STOP allowing people to use you as their own personal "Mother Theresa?" (after all, even Mother Theresa had the entire world helping her help others..)

I do not believe that she is just losing her mind! I swear it looks like the media and the paparazi are literaly trying to make her go crazy! It's funny to them! I think they want to see her end up like princess Dianne!!! If I were her I would do like Michael Jackson and retreat away from the US...She should go far away and take care of herself...EVERYONE THINKS IT'S A BIG JOKE....they won't be satisfied until the poor girl drops dead!!!!! I'm not even an avid Britney fan but I'm starting to feel like Chris Crocker...LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!!!
