  • Which protein powder would you recommend?

I want to start working out as a new years resolution, to gain some muscle (and hopefully some weight). I've tried random protein powders in the past, and never found one that tasted good enough to use it on a constant basis. What would you recommend as something that works well and still tastes good? I usually prefer chocolate flavors, and even then I find more chalky protein powders than actual good ones. Thanks in advance for your help :)

  • Are grits and polenta the same thing?

I'm over in Australia right now, and it's impossible to find grits over here. I did however manage to find polenta, which it says its only ingredient is corn. Are the two the same thing? I'm currently making them right now, and this polenta is a bit more yellow than grits, but it looks about the same otherwise so I was just wondering. Either way they'll get eaten, but I would like to know the difference, if there is one.

  • What's the difference in bead sizes?

I'm going to make a necklace using glass seed beads, but I'm ordering all my beads and etc online, so I'm not sure what size beads to get. What's the difference between a size 11 bead vs. a size 8 bead? Are they sized in an obvious way, with the smaller numbers being the smaller beads and the larger numbers being larger beads, or is it the opposite, like for piercings? Also, what size string would I get with a size 11 bead so the beads fit properly?

  • How long do I let this thaw for?

I have a roll of Pillsbury Sugar Cookie dough that I'm planning to bake cookies out of today, but I kept it on the top shelf of my fridge which for some reason gets cold enough to slightly freeze things. I have a lot to do today and don't have much time to wait around, but how long should I let this dough thaw before I'd be able to roll it and cut out the cookies?

It's fairly hard right now (and I know that sounds like innuendo but whatever), though not frozen I don't think, and the directions do say to just cut the dough into 1/2 inch rounds, but that bores me and I want to do something more creative with it.

  • Does anyone know where this is?

A friend told me about a spot outside your body, like on your lower back or somewhere that you can sort of feel the nerves from your g-spot. Is this possible? Also, where would this be located? I figure maybe some fellow lesbians could answer this for me.

  • Is it possible to make jello shots with Red Bull?

I'm making jello shots for a party, and was wondering if they'd still work if I poured in a can of Red Bull, so it'd be sort of like a Red Bull Vodka. I like the idea, but I'm not sure if jello will set with carbonation in it.

  • Are there any toy companies that make adult-sized toys?

I'm looking for a pedal-car. You know, you get in, it looks like a small buggy or whatever, but it's all self-propelled. I suppose I'm a bit on the small side when it comes to adult-sized, but either way, does anyone know of any companies that do things like this?

I know I could just get one of those leisure-bike things with three wheels and it'd be similar to the motion of a pedal car.. but those just look stupid.

  • Would my pet get fleas or not?

So I've been wanting a pet for a while now, probably a rabbit of some sort, but one of my roommates has 4 cats (none of which come in my room), and at least one of them has fleas. Even without them coming in my room, I've killed at least 5 fleas so far around my room, so I'm wondering, if I got a rabbit, would it get fleas because one of the cats has them? I don't really want to bring a furry creature into a house full of fleas, but maybe there's a way to keep them from getting to my pet? Any info would be helpful. Thanks :]

  • What would be better for geocaching?

I've recently discovered geocaching, and I would love to get into this as I'm a huge nature fan and love to travel and explore new things. I know you need a GPS for this, but would a smart-phone enabled with GPS work, or would you need an actual separate hand-held GPS for this? I'm not sure where to start here, so any advice on better GPS systems or whatever would be totally helpful. Thanks :]

  • Would the statistic change?

If 1 in 10 people is gay (or some form of lgbtq), would the statistic need to be altered for people in San Francisco, since it's already such a gayly populated city?

    Just a thought :]

  • Can you identify this instrument?

I have this song in my Itunes library:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj5oICYiN-w

It's a Turkish song, very dance-y, with nice violin and I'm assuming some native Persian instrument in the beginning. What I'd like to know is, what exactly is that guitarish-sounding instrument in the beginning there that plays just after the violin (it plays at about 18 seconds into the video)? All I can think of is a sitar, but I have no idea. Can you help me out? Thanks :]

  • Can these be spray painted or not?

    I have these plastic bins:

    http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/2326/img0375tu....

I also have a ton of spray paint, and happen to think these bins are too plain for my room at the moment, so I'm wondering if it's possible to spray-paint on plastic and have the paint stick. I tried spray-painting a skateboard once, and since it had a glossy black paint on it already, the spray paint just ran off. I'm wondering if the same thing will happen with these bins, since the plastic is glossy, or if it'll actually stick. I don't want to try painting them and waste paint because it runs right off, so if anyone has experience with this kinda stuff, that'd be great.

I also have acrylic paint, if that would work or be easier. Thanks in advance if you can help me out :]

  • What would this do to my Ipod?

I have a new 8g Nano, and it's almost full. I noticed there's a box when I'm looking at the "Blah's Ipod" page, before I sync it that will convert my higher bit rate songs to 128kbps AAC, and give me more space for songs. What I want to know is what exactly is that going to do to my Ipod, and will it ruin the songs or anything? Cause I'd love more space for music, but not if it'll damage the sound quality or something.

  • How often do you watch porn, and why?

It's assumed that a lot of people watch porn to get off, but I sometimes find myself watching porn just for the hell of it, or because I want to see some beautiful naked human beings in their purest forms. Why do YOU watch porn?

  • Do you know the word I'm looking for?

What's the word for when somebody does something and they try to pretend they're not really doing it? This one is driving me nuts..

  • Do dwarf hamsters get raggedy-looking as they get old?

I have a dwarf hamster, and it's recently developed bald patches around its back legs, sort of in the way a dog would get bald patches if it chewed on its fur all the time. Is this normal?

Also, a few months ago my hamster had what looked like some kind of tumor growing right under its mouth, that got bigger and bigger til it was about the size of a small marble.. and then one day, when I went to check on her, the [possible] tumor looked like it had popped and just left a bit of shriveled skin and a slight scab. Since then, the area around where the mass had been hasn't grown any fur, like it's now a scar.

My hamster seems to be fine, but I wonder if any of this is normal as they get older. She's only about a year old, and I'm not sure how long dwarf hamsters are meant to live, so I'm just curious.

  • What kind of alcohol would taste good in candy-cane shot glasses?

I bought some edible candy-cane shot glasses, and want to know what to drink in them. I don't want anything typical like peppermint schnapps, but something that would maybe compliment the minty flavor? I don't know, but I need some suggestions.

  • Why is it your heart works the way it does?

Why does your heart physically pain you when you're depressed or missing someone? How does it know to beat faster when you're happily thinking about the person you love? How does it know to slow down when you feel dead inside? Really.. how does it work?

  • Why shouldn't you drop the soap?

This is a fun and possibly easy question: What do people mean in prison when they say "don't drop the soap"? Now you'll notice I didn't say "what do you think people mean", because I want the right answer, not a guess. It could be taken as a literal statement, don't do it; if so why is it that you shouldn't drop the soap? Let me know :]

  • Is there a Pagan "bible"?

There seems to be a lot of confusion on this issue, so I thought I'd ask just to clarify my thoughts. Is there a Pagan equivalent to the christian bible? We all know Christianity abolished Paganism and stole its holidays and practices, but was the bible also stolen from Paganism, or did the Pagans have no need for a written doctrine? Or, is there a Pagan equivalent to the bible (like the Q'ran), but otherwise the two are unrelated? Please be as detailed and descriptive with your answers as possible, and try to use actual facts instead of rumors or opinion.

Also, if you're only here to say something rude, don't even bother commenting. This isn't meant to insult Christianity in any way. It's only a question, and since the question is about a Pagan "bible" and not Paganism itself, there is no need to give your opinion on the religion. Seriously. Don't do it.
