  • My son might plead guilty to an assault charge he didn't do?

I was a witness, I'm his mom, he has priors, been in jail, lots of times. I saw everything and it did NOT happen. I've thought about trying to sabotage the "so-called" witness' character, but that hasn't worked, so short of killing her or assaulting her, what else can I do to help him? He's going to court the end of April. I swear to god, he did not hit or bump this woman. They broke up and she called the cops because he'd fixed her tires for her and threatened to remove them. His priors were for theft (bad and awful, I agree) He had one assault charge. He is mentally disabled. His pro bono lawyer told him if he went to trial he could look at 8 years in prison.

  • Throwing Out The Salt Shaker?

O.k., I do not have high blood pressure, but I know that salt is a no no for those who do have it. But why don't the doctors also tell their patients that they need to get iodine into their bodies somehow? In Maine, we have a very low iodine amount in our soil. My mom and dad always told me to buy iodized salt. I still do. But for those who live in an area low in iodine, they need to get it somewhere. If they don't get it from iodized salt, they can get it from shell fish or sea weed. But how come the doctors never tell a patient this? Without the proper amount of iodine in your system, you can get thyroid disease.

  • A question about baseball for kids under 12 years of age?

I am a grandmother who thinks the kids need something to do around here. I don't know much about baseball. Any helpful ideas? My grandson is 6 and a half. He has no close kids his age to play with. I was thinking about starting a baseball game for the neighborhood kids. Girls and boys if they want to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Should I go for surgery or just live with it?

I had an MRI which shows I have a rotar cuff injury to a torn tendon in my right arm. I am right handed. I have been living with this since the end of Feb. and am going for physical therapy. I have about 50 - 60 per cent of the use of my right arm. My surgeon said if I don't have surgery, my shoulder and arm will never work the same again. I don't really want surgery. I will have to go through all the stuff I did up to now after surgery. I live alone. It was hard to comb my hair, get dressed, etc. by myself and have already gone through that and can now do it alone, o.k. There are some things I still can't do. I have pain but refuse narcotics. I don't want to get addicted. Should I go without surgery or not? I have until September to decide. Thanks. If it helps, I am a 55 year old woman. I am fairly strong, too.

  • What is going to happen in the year 2012?

I am a realist. But I have some friends who keep telling me that the end is coming in 2012. Why? They say all of the planets are going to line straight together and the magnetic pull is going to be so bad that we will all die. I say that doomsayers have been around every century and every millenium and we are still here! So what if the Mayan's last calendar date was for 2012? Maybe they moved away and never finished it? What gives?

  • My Arm Still Hurts Sometimes?

I fell on the ice around Feb. 27th and landed on my shoulder and thigh. I had a big bruise on my leg but there wasn't any pain. I went to the emergency room on March 4th about my shoulder and he said it was probably just muscles and if they did an x-ray it wouldn't show up anyway. Didn't have an x-ray. He said I'd be o.k. in a couple of weeks but it's been a month. Should I go back to the doctor? It hurts worse in the morning and at night. I can move it and stuff but it hurts bringing my arm around my back and lowering my arm.

  • Would you shoot COYDOGS?

If you thought a coydog killed your cat what would you do? My cat, Mr. Alex (age 11) lives one mile from the road in the western mountains of Maine woods. We always made sure he was in before dark and wouldn't let him outside until daylight broke. He disappeared. He has been gone since last Sunday. The only possible reason that I can think of is that coydogs got him or else a fox or a fisher. I want to get a gun and shoot all of them. What would you do?
