  • Dating someone with Bipolar Disorder ?

This guy and I have liked each other for a while now. I recently came out of a 16 month relationship so lets just say, we jumped into things a little too quickly..

We spent holidays together with a few of our friends. We made out on the beach which lead us to believe we were dating. During the day though, we barely spoke, and it felt as though he forgot I existed. At night was different, he was exhausted early due to his medication, but was very affectionate to me in private. On one of the nights though, I felt helpless because I could tell he was irritated by something (he kept telling me he was just tired), I kept trying to reassure him that I was there for him but he didn't acknowledge it.

When I got home I texted him and told him how it made me feel when he forgot about me. He explained that he still wasn't certain if he was mentally equipped for a girlfriend yet (he told me he tried to kill himself a few weeks ago).. He said he was fine with taking things slowly though, but when it came down to it I wasn't sure. I mean I rushed into this too and this year we're both doing year 12 and live a distance of five hours away from one another. I suggested that we could wait until we're at least both in our 20s, (I'm nearly 18 and he's almost 19), that way we could sort of have our lives together and his mental health could potentially improve. Thus the relationship could work long term. He sounded okay with it, or so I hoped.

Do you think I've made the right decision.?

  • Should I end things with him, for good ?

So my boyfriend and I went on a break after being together for a year and I felt we just needed some space to hopefully work on improving ourselves. I'm currently doing year 12, while he finished last year. Problem is, he has no motivations or ambitions to do anything whatsoever. He struggles with anxiety, depression and insomnia as a result and he is trying to lose weight, (as he is quite overweight). Not having a mother present in his life is difficult for him too (it's only him and his dad). His dad works literally long hours everyday and is on a low income. He tells me how he wants to contribute, though his anxiety speaks louder than his goals. I've tried supporting him and encouraging him in every way I can. It's getting to the point where I'm frustrated with him and want to give up. He has great computer skills (spends majority of his time gaming, YouTube-ing and listening to music). I've suggested he get into IT, which is what his plan used to be. He has never had an actual job and is almost 18. I also think he has abandonment issues, he always worries about us breaking up and what he would do if that was to happen, as well as him not being able to provide for a future family. He can be very clingy and likes to smother me even in public. It's okay, but I'm an independent person and feel I need my own space at times.

I know I can only make this decision,

but advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm not 100 percent sure what to do..

  • Help with transferring photos from iPad to OneDrive on PC?

I'm trying to sync my photos from my iPad onto OneDrive (which has proved successful), only problem is the photos get saved in the photos app as well and I only want them in the OneDrive folder.

This is really annoying and there has to be a way of only syncing them to OneDrive without them being saved in photos too, as I want to save storage space the best I can. ://

  • Personal opinions on studying Financial Planning, Financial Advising, Financial Management?

I'm currently in year 12 (I live in Australia) and I've had aspirations to study Beauty Therapy. Though lately, I've been developing more thoughts as to what career path I should really take. Thinking ahead, I'd like a career that pays excellent money, or even a substantial amount at the least. I don't want to be dependent on a man to bring home the big bucks.

I'm not an incredibly academic student, though I have a hard work ethic and I would consider myself as fairly organized. I have an interest in money and if I could somehow prepare myself to learn about the general background of finance, I would.

Problem is I'm not going for an ATAR, though I understand there are other pathways I could take to get into Uni. I could study a TAFE course beforehand perhaps and that may get me an entry as a mature aged student.

I'm just wondering what your thoughts are?

What is it really like working in the industry (specifically in banks)?

Is the pay within the financial sector as great as they claim it is? Does pay rise much with experience?

Is there much of a difference in these financial careers I've mentioned and do they pay approximately the same?

I have done my research, though different sites tell you otherwise and I'd like to hear it from one's perspective.

    Thank you heaps!

  • If you're active do you generally have a faster metabolism compared to someone who is inactive?

It might seem like a dumb question, but I'm just curious. I'd like to increase my metabolism because my metabolism isn't as fast as I'd like it to be. I exercise for a few hours a week and I eat relatively well. I just wish there was a way to develop a super fast metabolism, like my Mum for example. So really is it the more active you are, the faster your metabolism will be? Or does that more so depend on the individual and circumstances.

  • How long should it take me to lose 5-7kg?

I'm a 16 year old girl, I'm 1.55m tall and my current weight is 52kg. I've weighed around this for ages, but I've finally decided I'd like to slim down especially with summer here. I recently lost 2kg in two weeks. Now I'm planning to stick to consistent exercise, this includes; jogging first thing in the morning for approximately an hour (equivalent to 7km) then sticking to eating three healthy meals with preferably no snacks in between. I may even include half an hour of dancing to fit in my day.

    Rough meal plan options:

Breakfast - cup of plain yoghurt served with a piece of fruit/ whole meal toast with 1 poached egg (no butter btw) / 1 weetbix with milk

Lunch- salad/ whole meal bread with feta, avocado/ cruskits with cottage cheese/ sweet potato fries

Dinner- often depends what Mum cooks, though I could through around healthy alternatives

  • Relationship advice?!?

My ex boyfriend, who I dumped over a month ago due to long distance and lack of communication, is still in love with me. To be honest, I still love him, I miss him heaps. I don't know what to do? We were together for four months, but only managed to see each other three times. None of us have our driving licences, we live an hour and a half away from each other. I feel that it's difficult to make a long distance relationship work. I pass the town he lives in once a week, but it's early Monday morning on the way to school. Then on a Friday afternoon we tend to drive home on another road. Once we did go home that way, but I had to keep Mum waiting and we only got to spend half an hour with each other. I told him we could wait til we're older when we have more of a chance of seeing each other, though I don't expect him to have to wait. He told me he'd rather wait for me then get another girl. He tried to move on but he couldn't. I'll feel terrible if I make him wait, but what should I do? He means so much to me and I'd love a future with him.

  • How were the captains treated during their journey, in the middle passage?

It s my essay question, due next Friday. I ve found a lot of information, little regarding the captains though. It only tells me about how the slaves were treated by the captains. In a sheet handout it tells me that the captains endured twice the misery, with so much pain to lack of profit. I thought that everything went well for them though?

  • Thoughts on the name Jasmine Elizabeth?

I love the name Jasmine and I have a cousin named Elizabeth so it works both ways. I feel that the names have too many syllables though. What do you think?

  • Thoughts on the name Ivy Claire?

I am happy with it, but I worry it sounds like 'I declare.' Also do you think Ivy needs a long middle name? Or is Claire okay?
