We were thinking of naming her Kevin Charlotte if it's a girl. Any other middle name suggestions? Also, what do you think of the first name? It's a family name.

My cervix has been shortening going from 2.7 to 1.4 cm. Last measurement was 1.4 cm at 29 weeks. I'm 30 weeks now and currently on bed rest. Are there moms out there who had a similar predicament who made it to term? Thank you!

I am 27 weeks along and found out that I have a short cervix. (2.1 cm) I've been placed on modified bed rest (basically no sex, strenuous activity, lifting heavy things, standing still for more than a couple o hours etc) I'm just rather worried now. The Doctor made it sound like it was no big deal but she wants to watch it because now I'm considered a "high risk" pregnancy, but the ultrasound technician made it sound more ominous. Having trouble sleeping now because I keep thinking about it. I don't want our little baby boy to come out sooner than expected. Keep baking baby! And my schoolwork is starting to be affected because I can't concentrate. Anyone have any advice on easing my mind? Thank you for your time.

Going in for my 20 week ultrasound tomorrow. How much water should I drink? What is the likelihood that they'll be able to tell the sex and....can I ask questions during or am I supposed to be quiet?

a lot of people use old wives tales to guess the sex, scientifically I realize this is highly unlikely and everyone has a fifty fifty chance. Buuuuttttt, it's hard not to pay attention to them. I have a lot of people saying girl but I kinda feel like it's a boy? So I guess my question was, who was right more often? The mom with her gut or the friends with the wives tales and feeling the baby belly etc?

Not just little warnings about how it's gonna hurt during labor. But terrible miscarriage, bloody images and toe curling stories. Is it polite to ask them to stop? Some these stories shock my hubby, so I don't think I'm being over sensitive.
