can a cosmetology school hold transcripts in lieu of money you owe the school? I do not yet owe on my financial aid/loans but they access an overtime charge of 10 $ per hour after our graduation date. I did not receive any further instruction from staff after my graduation date I pretty much cleaned their school and did odd stuff around the school. I am wondering if this is legal? This is not a private school, they do have an entrance exam, which they started after I was already a student. I work for the school now so I do not want ot have to sue them, but I dont want to feel like I have to play dirty to get my transcripts this was over a 20k investment, I just want to obtain my license. also ... if I file for bankruptcy would they have to give me my transcripts because it is technically a debt to me?

on the exterior of my house I was wondering if I can install vents under the rafters or do I have to find an alternate spot to place them so it properly cools the attic space?

yesterday my dog snapped at my daughter and bit her leg and had pretty good it did break the skin not enough to bleed all over but is now bruised and black. I was wondering what would make a dog that we have had for a year now snap like that and what can i do to stop this before we have to rehome him? He had been awoken in the middle of the night to strike at whoever woke him also, Is it best to cage a dog at night for something like this or do I turn him into an outside dog? I need help with training him, he is spoiled and now most of the kids are afraid of him, He has never snapped at me but everyone else in the family except my baby, are we next if it gets worse ??? Help any answers would be helpful!

I am just wondering if when you are NOT invited to all of your cousins weddings, BDay parties, etc. Do I have the right to be a little ticked off? My family says no, or has an excuse like Oh we didnt know ur address or something stupid. I have lived on my own for over 12 years and believe that I deserve a separate invitation to events and the invite should not come by word of mouth. I dont care about informal events but when it comes to weddings and bigger events I think it is just common courtesy to send an invitation. I take it like I didnt get an invite so I must not be wanted there. I am just curious if the way I am acting is crazy or what?

just wondering how much jail time a person might get in the state of illinois for residential burglary? So far 7 charges of r/b exixt but almost 50 are pending. The person will be arraigned on monday and a bond set ( maybe) but any info on illinois prison system and what kind of time a person would get would be great

can i file bankruptcy and claim a judgment that was filed against me. I am about to lose my drivers license they said, and I was wondering if I can include this in the bankruptcy ? will it also save me from losing my license? any bankruptcy info for illinois would be great

I have not been diagnosed yet. but I had EMG testing yesterday and have been put on light duty at work, I am wondering how long can someone be on light duty, does carpal tunnel go away ever, because mine has been there for most of my life on and off sometimes I wouldn't have a problem for months, now it is like been a constant for the past few weeks. My arm is super sore after the testing and I am curious if the pain will eventually get worse over time because now since I haven't been working as hard as normal it don't feel too bad just very weak like I cannot lift anything. I would like any info on time off work, disability who qualifies, ( its a part time job 24 hours per week) Should I continue to work and forget the light duty? I do not want any special treatment at my job because those are always the people that get weeded out, or fired eventually. any thoughts would be good !! Thanks

I have been reading that carpal tunnel could be fro this i have several of the symptoms for both of these and am trying to find some relief.

I cannot lose weight, I have a very physical job, 3-6 hours of constant work 5 times per week, i probably should eat better, or eat enough but I often get low sugar and get shaky, but anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows what I can do for a little relief of the carpal tunnel, I try aleve but it is just not working, wondering if there is anything OTC stronger than aleve or can i get a prescription that is stronger than 220 mg? of naproxen sodium? can i get something that really works to lessen the pain and tingling sensation. I usually wake up several times per night with this. any suggestions would be great!! does it sound like these could be connected in any way? I am looking for any possible answers to these symptoms i have posted another question on this and got some good answers just looking for more.

I work with my hands and at night I have no problem going to sleep but I can be jolted awake with a feeling in my hands like lightning going through my fingers, if I get up and move around the pain goes away. This has ben occurring most of my life but I dismissed it and said it is something that comes along with hard work. Now my hands seem to go numb if I am holding something to long, typing etc.. Just wondering what this? could it be carpal tunnel? I have been looking on the internet for any answers I have tried to wear wrist braces at night, hot compress, cold compress Aleve, I need to know what more I can do, I do not want to be on some pain drug I want to get rid of it is that possible?

I was wondering how cataracts start to form in dogs? My dog seemed to injure his eye from a stick or bush, there is no infection and he seems to be in pretty good spirits, meaning no pain and acts like normal.

He now when he looks the other way with his eye a piece of tissue is present in both eyes I know he would have to be evaluated by a vet and he will be on friday, but i was just curious what this could be?

this is only in the corner of his eyes by the nose and is only present when he looks out ward with out moving his head. Also his eyes appear glassy a little dilated.

my dog scratched his eye or poked it in a bush. Would it be safe to give him Cephalexin 500 mg capsule? He weighs around 20 pounds and otherwise is in good health. I have read that cephalexin is ok for dogs to have along with amoxicillan and also a few other antibiotics. I am just wondering if the Milligram is to high or can I split the pill?

son has a rash on his face some spots 5cm x 5cm and looks very inflamed this is also with black stools. We have been to the take care clinic at walgreens for some emergency relief but nothing is working tey gave him a steroid cream to put on the rash, he has had no relief and we need to know what to do. He has eaten no different foods and poison ivy/oak is out of season. Any suggestions would help on how to make him comfortable and make the rash go away he says it burns and is very itchy. We are trying calimine lotion and an anti itch cream like cortisone already. thanks for any help.

I already have windows xp and received a warning that i had 60 days to activate the account. I am down to 9 days now and wonder where and how I would go about doing this. Can I buy this at best buy or circuit city ?I would like the physical disc to have in case it shuts down or whatever. based on your opinion is it ok to just keep the xp or should I update to vista? How long will windows last in my computer do i need to purchase this every year? Thanks for all answers

I rescued a little dog around Thanksgiving and my dad "adopted" her and got her to the vet etc. They have the appointment for the spaying but now they think she may be pregnant. Would the Vet have been able to tell a month ago when she got shots? My dad says he thinks he hears multiple heartbeats in abdomen, to me she doesnt look very large, but dad says her nipples are starting to get really pink and hang a little. and a few days ago her vulva? or girl parts were swollen. I was wondering if she could be pregnant I dont feel a need to go to the emergency vet I am just looking for some REAL answers, I do fix all my animals to try to prevent this, I am not sure if she could have already been pregnant even if it was a few days before I found her?

I have been married since july and want to file head of household, but do not want to get into any trouble because am a I technically considered unmarried because he is not a resident alien? his money is his and mine is mine. he pays the bills in the summer I pay in the winter so depending on how long each person takes care of bills, I could take care of more than half of the expenses, My husband has an ITIN number and was informed that if we do not file together he would never be allowed papers to be here or a green card. I am looking for any answers on how true any of this is, and also why when one parent has an ITIN and one doesn't they do not qualify for EIC, all the children and myself posses a SSN he is the only one with out one. Brother contracted MRSA from local hotel, was hospitalized which turned into a 11 day stay and knee surgery, he is now unable to walk, due to the MRSA getting into his bones and joints. We want to know if he can sue the hotel for this or is he out of luck? And what steps he should take for closure in theis situation.

My brother was recently hospitalized,not for detox ,he has been a user/abuser of heroin for at least 7 years. well he has been "clean" now for 10 days I was wondering if this has been enough time to get it out of his system so he can start sober living or what he has to do any suggestions would be great as long as they are respectful. so my questios are, how long do drugs stay in your system? how hard is it to "get off" of heroin? and is it possible to detox without methadone? or does he need to be on methadone to really be free of this stuff?

My husband has a daughter who has lived with us for 7 years now and her mom has told us that we could have legal custody of her, or that I might as well adopt her.. she has been non-existant in her daughters life but we mainly want this so she could be on our insurance etc. at this time dads name is not even on the birth certificate. I was just wondering what do we have to do to make this legal? again mom is NOT contesting this.
