  • B-17 in north plano (TX) today?

A b-17 flew over my house today in plano (TX). It flew east to west (basically) this morning, and flew back early afternoon. Did I miss an airshow? Does anyone know anything about this?

  • Can you explain the Jena problem to me?

So, three white students hung nooses in trees. They're @$$-holes and I hope they get hit by a bus... but what law did they break?

It seems to me that the issue is that the white students didn't get charged with anything, and the black students did. What should the white students be charged with?

  • What impact do UN sanctions have on a country?

I ask because it seems that sanctions have absolutely no impact. It seems like sanctions can be compared to getting a verbal berating from Barney Fife.

  • How can I sync my iPAQ wirelessly?

I have a Compaq iPAQ H3835. I have to set it in the cradle to sync it. I cannot find any device to connect it wirelessly either to my laptop, or to my wireless network. It has internet explorer and I would love to be able to surf the internet and download content atleast while I'm within range of my wireless network.

  • How do I write an Excel formula that returns the date of this coming Friday?

For example. I want the date in the cell to be June 1st. But, if I just do today()+2, then tomorrow it will show Saturday, June 2nd.

Essentially, I want the cell to determine the date of the very next Friday. So, on June 5th, it will return the date of June 8th (Friday).

  • How do you calculate odds of dice?

I'm playing a very specific game (Axis and Allies Miniatures) and I'm trying to figure out the math of the dice. A 4, 5, or 6 is a hit, and a 1, 2, or 3 is not. With one die, I figure the chances of getting a hit are 50%. How do I calculate the odds of rolling multiple hits with multiple dice? (I.E. the odds of getting 5 hits with 9 dice).

  • Why is my 10 month old suddenly clumsy?

My daughter is a week shy of 10 months. She's been pulling herself up and using objects for support, but not standing alone. This morning my wife called me at work and told me that she is falling backwards and acting clumsy.

She claims that her eyes are okay, and she can focus. She's not fussy, she's playing happily, but we're worried that she's much more clumsy than she was even yesterday afternoon.

She may be tired, and we're hoping she'll be better after her morning nap. We have an appointment with the pediatrician in a few day for a normal check-up. Do we need to be concerned and move up the appointment? Or should we just keep a close eye on her and let the doctor know about our concern when we see her?

Has anyone experienced this with their child? Is this normal?

  • How do I debug the "Cancel" button from a VBA InputBox?

I'm using VBA to program an InputBox in Excel. It works great if I enter data and hit "OK". But if I hit the "Cancel" button, the VBA Macro stops. I can't figure out how to tell the Macro to "end sub" if the user hits "Cancel".

This is the InputBox function, not the MsgBox.

  • Can you solve this operation?

Since I could only put words, check out this link and tell me if you can solve this summation operation. It's the summation of 1/(2^n) where the lower range is n=i and the upper range is infinity.

  • 7-3x=x-4(2+x)?

I saw this equation on Google GROUPS. The post date was 2004 and I can't find the person that posted it for resolution. I figured that this equation is un-solvable (I solved 7 = -8). Can anyone shed any light on this? Could the person that posted it simply have missed an operator or made a negative number positive? Does anyone have a simple change that would make this formula solvable? (It was from an 8th grade mathbook, according to the poster. I can't imagine there would be unsolvable equations at the 8th grade level).

  • Why are stock quotes usually delayed by 15 or 20 minutes?

Don't you think that a site offering actual real time quotes would give their customer's an extreme advantage? Even the official Dow Jones page lists quotes with a 20 minute delay.

Is this a legal issue or a technological issue?

If legal: why? What would the legal ramifications be for a real time stock quote?

If technological: why? Data can be transmitted over the internet with certainly less than a 20 minute delay. I could understand a full minute (maybe) but not 20.

    If other, why?

  • Does anyone know where to find Rose Bowl figures?

I'm not looking for game stats. I'm curious to know a few things.

    1. How many people attended the Rose Bowl in Pasadena this year?

    2. How many people watched the Rose Bowl on TV this year?

  • What was the season and episode that included the peterman siberian winter hat?

Elaine got the hat when she was in charge while Peterman was in Myanmar (you may know it as Burma). George left it at his girlfriend's apartment so he'd have an excuse to go back. Well... it dissapeared. Kramer's friend Bob Sacamano got a cheap knockoff, but it was made of rat hair. It came off when Jerry shook it in the Bagel Place and really screwed up their health department record (Jerry uttered, "That's not gonna be good for business").

  • Perfect Man & Perfect Woman.?

The perfect man and the perfect woman were driving on a not-so perfect night. They came across Santa's sleigh crashed by the side of the road. Being the perfect couple, they decided to stop, pick him up, and help him deliver the rest of his gifts.

However, they were no more than 5 miles down the road when the car swerved into a tree. In this horrific crash, all were killed.

    Who was driving?

Since there's no such thing as Santa Clause, and the perfect man is only a myth. It had to be the perfect woman that was driving...

...which would explain why there was a fatal car accident.

  • How do I create a scent for a homemade candle?

I make candles and buy scent from a hobby store. I use three times the amount of scent that the directions indicate and my candles still don't smell.

I want to find out how to make my own scent (not mine, I stink... but maybe my wifes, or roses, or something nice). The scent has to come from somewhere, right? How can I make my candles smell nice without just buying a block of scented wax?

  • Where can I find exercise routines to GAIN weight?

I'm 29. I'm 6' 2" and I only weight 128 lbs. I quit smoking 6 months ago and I eat like a horse, but I'm not gaining any weight and my wife is afraid that my low weight is unhealthy.

All the exercise routines I find have been created with the intention of losing weight.

I've started eating better, but now I want to exercise.

I just had a complete physical and the doc didn't find any medical problems. I'm healthy as a horse (just not built quite as well).
