  • AMD A-Series processors w/ PCIe 3.0 mobo, AMD FX processor w/ PCIe 2.1/2.0 mobo, OR Intel processor w/ PCIe 3.0 mobo?

I'm looking at upgrading my PC for Fallout 4 and I'm thinking about stepping up to two graphics cards, but I'm on a budget so I tend to go with AMD setups to save money. Problem is there aren't any motherboards that support PCIe 3.0 with the AM3+ processor slot. The only ones out there are for the A-series processors that I don't know much about. Can I build a solid gaming rig with an A-series chip or am I going to have to switch to Intel (which I know less about because they're usually too pricey for me) in order to get a good CPU and PCIe 3? Overclocking is no problem for me as my setup keeps things nice and cool too btw.

  • Heathen house spirits and warding question.?

I've set up an altar in my roommate's back yard for rituals and somethings been messing with their cats every single time I use it. Usually it's just playing with them and one time it put the dishes away for us. This time though one of the cats is scared out of its wits and my indoor altar got trashed. Any more experienced heathens out there have any advice?

  • Any interesting mis-heard song lyrics?

I've heard many stories of people mishearing lyrics from a song and they're usually quite entertaining. One of mine would have to be Living Color's Cult of Personality. I always thought it was Coked up Personality until I actually read the song title. Definitely puts a different spin on the song...

  • Insufficient EGR flow problem in '96 Toyota Paseo?

I'm trying to figure out what needs done on my car. I just took it to Autozone to check what code the engine was throwing and that was it. We just had to replace the oxygen sensor before the catalytic converter if that's any help. Also, upon several people's suggestion (including my dad's mechanic) we've tried to clean out the EGR valve already and that hasn't seemed to work. Could it be something simple as a hose or a problem in another part that's supplying the valve?

  • Paratrooper burial question...?

I was just thinking about my grandfather who was a paratrooper during the Korean War. He survived and lived a good life before, sadly, passing away before I was born. I was wondering if they do something with regards to their boots. I vaguely remember something about that from my grandmother, but she died two years ago and I can't ask her.

  • Good foods for tendon(/joint) health?

I work in a retail warehouse and with business booming for the holidays it's taking a lot out of me. It feels like it's my tendons that are buckling under the pressure of 100-400 pound boxes all day.

  • Can I legally print a copyrighted digital book for backup/easier access purposes?

There's a book that I want. It's available in print for about 15 and via download for a third of that. I want to save money, but I don't want to have to carry around my laptop every time I want to bring the book with me.

  • What advice would you give to someone who's going to be going out on a date with a single mother?

She has one daughter that's four and insisted that her daughter come along. I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm just nervous about screwing up somehow and hoping for advice from anyone who's been on either side of that situation.

  • Home improvement...for a snake!?

I'm taking care of my sister's snake while she's doing a tour in South Korea and I was thinking about adding a shelf inside the tank for him. He's currently probably around 5' long and is in I'm fairly certain a 55 gallon tank. There are four clasps on the mesh lid to keep him from getting out. Multiple people have watched him try for over an hour at a time and he can't get the lid off. He's an albino burmese python btw.

If I were to do this, what should I do/not do? And if I do this, might this give him the extra help he needs to pry the lid up and thus mean that I need to better secure the lid?

  • How long do you leave your cell phone on?

With very little use, my Q with the extended battery can last about a week without even charging. I never turn it off at night. I finally switched out the batteries (extended battery ran low during the day), which involved shutting it off, and realized I had not turned it off in several months.

  • Power steering repair question.?

I have a '98 cavalier and the power steering is leaking. It's left a mark on the ground where I park it and it looks like it's landing right below the reservoir and pump. How hard would it be to at least diagnose and maybe fix the problem? (For two people with access to the right tools and who are fairly mechanically inclined that is.) I'm just trying to get some *intelligent opinions* on if this is something along the lines of rebuilding a transmission kinda hard or replacing the oil pan kinda hard.

  • Advice on a scrambled omelette?

I want to make one, but I don't make the time to make one every morning. Would it be possible to make a really big one and store it in the refrigerator for later and heat it up? Or will it not reheat right or go bad or something?

  • I think I may be borderline for antisocial personality disorder...?

From a mental health standpoint, I had a very bad childhood that I don't talk about. I've noticed the traits of it in my subconscious for years now. I've almost always been able to keep it in my subconscious. I've almost always maintained control, but the desires are still there. I fear that part of my mind and don't know what to do about it except hope that I always stay in control. Any advice for treatments or ways to stay in control? Or ways to be more emotionally alive?

  • What does this make me?

Basically I'm a MtF transsexual and I'm attracted to other women. Today was laundry day, so I went out in complete male mode, including button-up dress shirt, slacks, ect. I was just bored and decided to go out kinda as a drag king and I kinda enjoyed being a drag king. I'm hopping both ways over the gender fence! What kind of a label would you put on someone like that?! What kind of a sexual orientation would go along with that kind of a label?

  • Should I get a loan for this?

I have about $6000 in credit card debt that is currently in collections for being about $750 over the limit and a student loan that is also in collections for about $3500. I have a car that I could use as collateral on a loan that's worth about $3500. I'm paying $83/month on the credit card and that's just covering the interest so I'm gaining nothing on that and I'm paying $75/month on the student loan.

Should I keep going this way and when my income increases, which it will *eventually* with my situation, and worry about making some ground on it later? Or should I consolidate both of those into a private loan, using my car as collateral, and pay on that instead? Would it save in the long run? Would my payments increase compared to now for a 5 year loan? Ten year loan?

Unemployment sucked...not planning on doing again...ever!

  • Opinions please...?

I live with a bunch of semi-homophobic, ignorant, disrespectful college guys. I'm going to be moving out and into a much better place. Also, I'm not on the lease right now because i had kinda planned on moving out last year and had told the others months ago, but never brought up the thought of moving out again for months. My question is, should I tell them now or just move out and have them find out by seeing that all my stuff is gone and my share of that month's rent isn't in on time?
