Anybody had double knee replacement surgery?
I am having this procedure in March. I have two hip replacements but did those one at a time. My concern is how long it will take to be able to walk. With the hips I could walk 20 feet or so in about four days using a walker. What can I expect with bilateral knee replacement?

5 AnswersReality Television9 years agoWhy can't I be a cadaver donor?
I carry Hep B, but that should only effect transplants. Every outlet I searched will not take my cadaver. It's for student practice for surgery, etc. what possible difference can the Hep B at that point? Anyone know who will take my body when I'm "gone"?

12 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoI'm having problems with my good Lodge cast iron pans .?
They keep rusting, are very hard to clean because I can't use soap. I spent time seasoning these pans and I'm not at all happy. What am I doing wrong?
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes10 years agoAnyone else really sick of the "food police"?
The government, nutritionists, food columnists, etc. Why is it necessary to change foods we loved? I realize this is not health food, and I certainly wouldn't eat it every week, but when I want the stuff, I'd like it to taste like it used to. Examples would be McDonald's fries, McDonald's fried pies, KFC fried chicken, Burger King onion rings, Wendy's fries and chicken nuggets, etc. Why is it necessary for restaurants to change because apparently the American public is too stupid to make correct food choices. This really irritates me.

4 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoAre non-smoking laws constitutional?
Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness. Smoking makes millions of people happy. I am not a smoker, but I will defend their right to it. Every day more rights are being removed from America via laws "for our own good". Apparently the government thinks we are too stupid to think for ourselves and make sensible choices. For a while in Chicago, it was illegal to serve fois gras. Are they kidding? The law was overturned. Currently in California they are trying to pass a law against smoking outdoors. Americans want what they want, so I can see speak easies, etc. becoming a very lucrative underground business. Prohibition didn't work then and it won't work now.
9 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoUSO's-am I the only one who finds this viable?
We're exploring space, but why don't we fully explore our own planet first? New species are being discovered with ultra depth mini subs, so why don't we develop the tech to go all the way to the very depths of the ocean? I'm not convinced that all intelligent life crawled out of the ocean-maybe some stayed. Perhaps The Abyss wasn't that impossible? Anyone else think the answers to our evolution and intelligence are in our own backyard?
4 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agowhat is the name of the mini sub that can go to extreme depths?
I'm not talking about the Odyssey. I can't remember the name of the one that discovered numerous new and odd looking creatures. I remember seeing the documentary, but can't recall the sub's name.

9 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoProfessionals only please; fourth dimension.?
We had a huge family discussion about the reality of time. My husband, 17 year old son and I all had different opinions. My husband doesn't believe that time is really exists; he thinks it's merely a way to organize society. I believe that space and time are the same and can be"bent" to alter space-time and move"ships" much further and faster than we can concieve with three dimensional thought. The 17 year old believes that space and time are related, but can't grasp a fourth or fifth dimension in a realistic discussion. First of all; any input? Secondly, please recommend the best book on this subject.
