Avid animal and nature lover. Love to walk in quiet places. I don't care for crowds. Love history. Love to read different books but tend to go towards scary stories & fantasy first. No romance novels. Same with movies. I don't care for comedies. Have worked in medical field most of my life.

  • Palestinian protesters - cowards?

Saw the film on the news where these guys were throwing things while protesting after the murders of those young men visiting Israel. I find them cowards in that they had their heads covered. If you are proud of what you are doing and you believe in something strong enough why hide your faces. Ashamed of what you are doing? Just like here when you see the criminals being led out with their heads covered or they keep their heads down. Cowards.

  • Do you have Direct TV and do you like it? Or what do you have?

I have the one that costs about $61 a month. I had to come down one due to the cost. I wish they would just let you pick the channels you want to watch and pay for those. Out of the all the channels I watch maybe 12 and then not all the time. If I go down one more notch all the channels I watch will be gone. It's annoying channel surfing through all those channels and not finding anything to watch.

  • Did you ever watch the mini series Smallville? Did you like it?

I got hooked on it and have been getting them from the library. I like it but I'm really sick of Lana Lane. For some reason she annoys me to no end. I'm glad she's going to Paris. Good bye. I'm sure she will show up sooner or later.

  • When you are out and about shopping, etc., what do people do that really annoys you?

I was raised to say excuse me when you walk in front of someone. I was raised to say thank you if someone does something for you, i.e. hold a door open, etc.

Today it seems the majority of people out there are clueless to common courtesy. They cut you off, they don't acknowledge you when you let them into traffic when no one else is doing it, they let doors shut in your face, the park in handicapped spots when not handicapped at all, they leave shopping carts all over the place and they are perfectly capable of walking them the two rows over to the stall.

I hate people who toss garbage out their car windows or their cigarette butts. You don't have an ashtray in there?

Or how about the ignorant moms who change their kids diapers and toss them in the parking lot? The diapers not the kids. That one really gets me. I saw it one time, she had 4 kids. She took the diaper and just tossed it into the parking place next to her. This is telling her kids what? I waited till she went into the store, went and picked up the shitty diaper and placed it **** side down on her windshield and secured it with her wiper blades. Washed my hands and left her a note. What a complete slob. I won't even say what my neighbor told me she did to someone like that.

In the book sale at the library today. People on either side of the tables looking. This very large man comes down the aisle pushing people aside. No excuse me or pardon me. Just wallowing through. I was ready to blast him when an old lady told him "son, people would move over if you would just say excuse me please". He just came on through. Then I mumbled about some people just being ignorant rude assholes.

I really try not to let it get to me. I try and be tolerant. I know we each have bad days, but something tells me these people are like this every single day. I work with a few.

  • Did you ever watch any of these programs? What was your favorite and least favorite episode?

I was an avid Buffy fan. My favorite was Hush. My least favorite was the one with the first slayer in it. I loved the subtle humor. I was sad when Tara died. I liked her. I did not care for any of the episodes with Faith in it and the last season was sort of uninteresting. You could tell they were running out of story line.

Angel - I enjoyed this, especially the first season or two. I loved Cordelia with her long hair. Why they chopped it off is beyond me. She looked very nice with it long. I cannot recall a favorite one but I did like the Pylea ones and the introduction of Fred's character. Once they got into Wolfram and Hart I knew the end was near. I did not like the ending at all. I don't like being left hanging. Did they win, did the world end or what?

Charmed - No favorite here either but I really liked the first few seasons better. They did a good job introducing Paige into the mix though. I did not like the ones with Billie in it or Christy but the ending was very nicely done.

  • Anyone out there on Weight Watchers?

I used to be and still have all the books and the little calculator. Do you know how to calculate how many points you are suppose to use each day on that thing? I would like to try it again but I cannot afford it, well I could either afford the fee or the food not both. I don't see directions on how to do this in any of the books I have. It would be appreciated.

  • If you work in a doctor's office, what kind of patients drive you crazy every day?

This is not a violation of any HIPPA as no names are given out.

We deal with a lot of Medicaid based patients. They seem to be the patients that are the most demanding. They no show for appointments and then call wanting to get in right away. ( unlike a lot of offices, our drs don't require you to call 24 or 48 hours in advance to cancel or change an appt. As long as you call, you won't be charged. And we only charge $25 while some places charge a full office visit.) These patients cannot be charged a No Show fee; like most things they get everything at no cost to them. They argue with us because they need referrals up front from their insurance company before they can be seen telling us to get the referrals - it's their insurance and their responsibility just like it is for every patient. They get mad at us because their insurance won't pay for a $3 item that we sell in our store - which is like going to a pharmacy for bandages, etc. Yet their nails are beautiful, their weaves are extravagant, etc. We've had things tossed back at us because of this. And of course you have to keep quiet and not say anything.

Mind you, the working individuals that need special things like MRI tests, or orthotics for their shoes either have to have authorization for these things prior to getting them or they have no coverage at all even though they pay premiums, copays and deductibles. I hate telling some little old person they have no coverage for something; or the construction worker that he has to pay $580 for custom orthotics for the shoes he wears everyday to continue working because he has no coverage while the non working individual gets them for nothing.

The patients that bring in their unruly children and let them run wild in the waiting room disturbing everyone. One lovely group of 5 was making so much noise that people on the phone could not hear me. I had to go in a back room to make their appointment. And then we get others that are so well behaved. If you cannot control the children, don't bring them in.

I wish our esteemed leader would come into some of the offices to see what goes on in the real world before messing with the health care system.

  • Why is having a circumcision harmful to your health?

I asked this question twice before and have yet to get an actual answer. I've been yelled at about "penis rights" and told that I should go get one. The diatribes were amazing but not one person answered the question. Simply put - why is it considered harmful to your health to have one.

This all started when I saw a car with bumper stickers all over it about the circumcision issue and then the lady in the grocery store with a T shirt about the same; saying it was unhealthy, unnatural, etc. Personally, it's your body, make your own decisions.

All I asked is why some consider it harmful to your health. I worked as an OR tech for 18 years and

I scrubbed on quite a few penectomies where a portion of the penis had to be removed because of cancer under the foreskin - mainly due to people not properly taking care of themselves.

If anyone can answer this with actual facts it would be really appreciated.

    It's just a question not a statement.

  • How would you get a celebrity to answer a little girl who is crazy for them?

There is a little girl named Stella who wants to meet Taylor Swift and sing with her. She has some sort of leukemia. She gets all kinds of things from Swift's fan club I think but so far nothing from the star herself. Personally I cannot stand Taylor Swift. It seems all she does is jump from guy to guy and then make up songs about them. But Stella loves her. I read about other celebrities who make arrangements to meet some of their special fans. Maybe this one is too stuck up?

I wondered if there was a way to bypass the fan club people.

  • How Sad Is This and What Does It Say About The State of Our Country?

I traveled 1/2 hour to a local Indian Reservation to buy a gift for an English pen pal who is interested in Native America. Many beautiful things there. I ended up buying a small medicine bag with the history of it's use and a few other items. Need to buy small since the US Postal Service discontinued surface mail (they weren't making any money on it they said) as otherwise it costs a fortune to mail anything heavy first class. I got home and was reading the little card about the history and on the back it said "not an Indian made product. MADE IN CHINA". WTF? I never in a million years thought to look for that little statement on something bought in a reservation store. Pissed me off.

  • How can circumcision be harmful?

Saw a car the other day with bumper stickers all over it concerning "genital integrity". WTF? Then in the store I saw a young woman with a T shirt on it that said "his body, his choice, circumcision harms". I am an operating room tech and during my hospital days in urology I saw many men who were not circumcised that had infections because they did not keep themselves clean enough and scrubbed on at least 10 penectomies. Yes, they had to remove the penis because of cancer under the foreskin. So I was curious about what she had on her shirt. I should have asked her.

She looked middle eastern. I wondered if it was a religious thing.

  • If you see a bratty child acting up in a store or library what do you do?

I just scared the crap out of some kid in the grocery store. He was about 6 or 7, and old enough to know better. His mother was going to buy him some ice cream and he was screaming at her that he didn't want that kind he wanted this kind. She just said "I'm walking away now". She did and he screamed at the top of his lungs and was stomping his feet. He ran after her. A little later I was in that isle again and he came running down the aisle all alone and was going to get the ice cream he wanted. I looked at him and very calmly said "I'm going to report you to the grocery police for being a brat, for causing a ruckus and being disrepectful to your mother". And I walked away. I saw him later quietly by his mother hanging onto the cart. When he saw me he looked and looked away. His mother needs a lesson in parenting. She lets him use her a door mat and that is not correct.

Kids run around in the library and no one says a dam thing, not the parents or the librarians. When I was growing up you had respect for others in the library. People come here to read and study. You got shusshed if you raised your voice above a whisper. Adults even talk in a normal voice now. Kids scream and they don't take them out. I miss the good old days.

  • Does anyone know if the anti gay "people" attempted to protest that child's funeral?

I heard they were and then I heard they cancelled it and then I heard that they would have been stopped way outside the funeral site by a line of police, firemen and Hells Angels who were lined up across the street. I never know what to believe anymore. The internet is full of misinformation. The person I heard the aforementioned from said the media never reported it for some reason. Could be it never happened or else it was another thing the media chose not to report.

  • I absolutely agree with Morgan Freeman, the actor, who said the following. What about all of you?

I didn't catch what the actual question he was asked was but this is his answer.

It's because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.

CNN's article says that if the body count "holds up", this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer's face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer's identity? None that I've seen yet. Because they don't sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you've just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.

You can help by forgetting you ever read this man's name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news."

I myself think the media causes more problems than good. The reporters have to be the first to report something no matter if they have no idea what is going on. At first, with this shooting, we heard he went in and killed his mother and her class and there were 2 shooters. Hours later we heard he acted alone with 2 guns and killed his mom at home and she was not employed by the school.

What is scary is that he is right when he says there is someone out there right now who wants to be a bigger name than this nobody individual who killed all these people. One person on here said he was glad his parents had him in private school and he has his kids in private as well as there has never been a shooting ina private school. Ah, not yet there hasn't. (and to him I add, not everyone can afford private school).

See now, another asshole who has to jump on the bandwagon and make threats against the people in the church. If he's found, he should be shot. Probably some kid thinking it's funny.

  • Did you read the books "50 Shades of Grey"? Did you like it?

I am in the middle of reading it as a few fellow employees were all into it. I find it very annoying and will not read the other two. I want to take that woman and slap her silly for letting that arrogant man treat her like a sex toy. Signing a piece of paper saying you are his only and will obey him in all things, doing whatever he wants without question or you will be punished... Not me. I'd toss him out his fancy apartment window after castrating him.

I am not a prude and enjoy my sex life very much but no way..........

  • What do you really think of Taylor Swift?

Is she really all that goodie goodie - sweet little thing that she looks like? I find her annoying a bit. I do enjoy some of her music. Seems to me she jumps from bed to bed.
