Why does Korea have multiple businesses in a single building?

In America, its clean with one big Target, for example. In Korea, there's clinic, shops, businesses in one single building in each floor. 

Why is that?

And what is that called in English?

How do you explain that in English, the way Korea building is structured.

My life is now ''settled'', I know I cant study abroad since im married. I cant go drinking and partying since im married.

I sent an email for letter of rec. He said visit my room tomorrow after 3 PM anytime. I came at 5:50 PM, door was locked. What do i do? Do i send another email saying what about tomorrow?

In fast food like McDonald, employees get paid very low. But what about managers?

They always say, "Talk to my manager."

They seem like very high position.

Do they get paid very high compared to employees?
