  • Power window motor quits and starts -2004 Blazer?

The drivers side door power window will work sometimes, other times it won't. Sometimes it will start then quit, window partly down. Found that when it won't work slamming the door will make it work again 90% of the time. Does this sound more like a loose wire or a bad motor?

  • A/C vacuum from Harbor Freight Tools -2004 Blazer?

Hey I have a 2004 Blazer and need to replace the A/C compressor. I did it once but never vacuumed the system as you're supposed to do. I guess that's why the compressor failed in two years. Once I change out the compressor, it is either $159 to have it done by the shop, or I see this unit for $15.99 at Harbor Freight Tools. (plus freon of course) Has anyone used one of these? Does anyone know if I need an air compressor on site or is the unit something I can pressurize at the gas station and bring home? Thanks for any answers!

  • Current experience with Canadian pharmacies and generic viagra?

I know there are a few older answers on here about this, but are there any current users of Canadian pharmacies and generic viagra? My prescription went up again this year to $60 for five pills, and searching the Canadian sites I find the generic for about $30 per 10 pills. Did it work for you the same as the brand pills? Did anyone have problems with the generic? If your experience was good, recommendations for which pharmacy you used would be very helpful.

  • MAC users, Can I add Windows 7 to OS X as a dual boot?

All you MAC techs thanks for your help. I have very little experience with MACs and here's the situation; I have a MAC laptop with OS X on it. I need to run a program that is a Windows only platform. Can I partition the drive and install W7? Any tips would be helpful.

  • Has anyone ever bought a house using one of the Rent to Own Places?

I have two or three of those Rent to Own homes places emailing me since I registered with them. They all claim they can get you in a home in 30 days or less with just a small deposit and first months rent. A portion of the monthly rent goes towards a future downpayment, then in a couple of years (after cleaning up your credit) you have built up equity and go to a bank for a loan. What I wonder about though is none of them are in my city so how do they know local real estate? One is http://ownerwiz.com/ and another is http://www.rentalhouses.com/rent-to-own Thanks for any help.

  • Virus on hard drive partition that will not delete?

OK, this one has me baffled. Working on a computer that had the Conficker virus. It appears that the virus set up it's own small partition on the hard drive (C:) that will not allow me to delete it or format it. I have formatted the drive several times, and upon boot up I can see no partitions, but after loading the OS, it shows up again but only if you boot up into the format mode again. The partition does not show under the properties in C: or under disk management.

  • What questions would you ask when looking to assist a needy person?

I am setting up a short questionnaire for home visits to assess the needs of low income families. Our church is trying to help them by supplying a bed or couch. Other than income, family size and need, what else do you think I should be asking? Best questions would be "yes or no" answers, as some of the people need assist reading/writing. They shouldn't be too personal, either. Thanks to anyone who has a good question!

  • Anywhere in Cincinnati area to find rocks and stones?

I want to build a small waterfall in my garden, and am looking for a few rocks and flat stones for the project. Some landscapers do carry them, but the price is way expensive. Does anyone know where someone can find and legally gather some rocks?

  • I have a used marine Battery. Is it worth anything?

This battery sat in our camper unused and uncharged for 7 years. It will not hold a charge for me now. It is the old style with caps on the top to access the water resevoirs. I'm not looking to purchase another battery soon. Should I continue to store it, sell it, recycle it?

  • 1995 Honda Accord front bearing problem?

Just had the wife's Honda worked on by a local chain auto repair center. They replaced both front CV joints, boots, etc. We had no front bearing noise before the repair, but now the front bearings are so noisy you almost can't hear the radio. No pulling or other steering problems, just noisy. They now want another $550 to replace them, after a $525 repair bill for the CV joints. Is this normal, am I getting ripped off, or could the front bearings have possibly been damaged during the CV joint repair? Any ideas? Thanks for any and all comments.

  • Anyone know how to fix a 1996 Honda Accord spedometer that only works once in a while?

Our 1996 Honda Accord spedometer works only sometimes, usually at freeway speeds only. Someone replaced one part for me (can't remember which part, but it was supposed to be the major one that all Honda's have trouble with) but that didn't make a difference. I've heard there are two major parts, and now I probably need the other one? I also hear this "other" part is expensive. Anyone here have a similar problem, or a mechanic that can explain it? Thanks everyone!

  • Our new cat really stinks when it uses the litterbox?

We recently adopted a new cat. It was a stray, but had been declawed (and I think neutered). As much as it eats the same diet as our older cat, when it uses the litterbox it is so smelly it makes you gag. I am changing the litter two to three times a week to keep the smell at a minimum, but it's getting expensive to buy so much litter. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be an intestinal disease, or some other problem?

  • Does anyone know why a fish swells up?

I have a black striped neon tetra, and about a month ago, it started to sweel up like it's pregnant. It has stopped eating, although it does mouth the food. It has to be three times it's normal size. None of the other fish in the tank seem affected. Could this be a cyst, cancer, or what?
