anyone know of this type of lawyer for crawford county, Iowa? or surrounding area..woodbury co., Iowa or the Des Moines area? a good one , now........

sooo, now what? yes, file for unemplyment(their reasoning, was for attendance, you see, i'm recovering from pnemonia, etc.),what else can i do? we were NOT allowed to bring in, any thing that,even had the name...UNION, into this workplace...so there's no help that way....i do know, that they quoted me "mis information", for their excuse to "fire"me.....do i press on legally?(i feel, that i was going to become too much of an insurance "debt" , to this company, for this is their practice w/past employers,as well)...what do you guys think?.......serious "come backs" only please.......thank you (in advance).....wish i could find funding to get my "craft" hobbies up and going.......etc.

I've been employed w/present employer for 1 yr.,1 mo.,& 2 wks., today........last month, I worked 2 days, the rest of the work days was & home w/ phenmonia, along with my 2 children, after returning back to work, was then granted a leave of absense for bi-polar issues (was hired & they knew of the bi-polar situation, etc.), was granted 2 weeks, .....or longer....

Yesterday, @ my "evaluation" mtg., I was being "scolded" for missing sooooooo many days in January.......this mtg. is continued to this am.........@ which time, I will be fired &/or walked out........or put on probation......I know this CAN NOT be FAIR labor law issues.............what's your opinion (s).......serious comebacks please.......thank you......

Can someone who is connected to the "law", answer this correctly? How could a wife protect herself, from an estranged husband, who might be toying with thoughts of "putting her away",(i.e.: into a mental institution), ? Know that this would be his 2nd attempt, which allows him to sign her "in", with his signature alone, plus another persons.....the latter DOES NOT need to be a family member of hers or his.....there must be a legal way of her to "shield" herself from these possible actions of his?! Can she give power of attorney to a trusted person she knows, that would keep him from admitting her on a whim of his? I don't know....what is another form of legal protection? (@ this time divorce will not be the obvious answer, that she is seeking to this urgent question) Any & all suggestions/advice (knowledgable), will be most accepted & appreciated!!!!!!!!! You need to know, I'm a single mom of 3........no child support pymts. to speak of, plus my funds are completly depleted thru the airline purchases I've been paying for so Jake can come home, when he's up for leave........this present would totally blow him away, if he was able to unwrap one (laptop) on X-mas day! So, any really good deals or leads you could pass my way would be truly appreciated, & if I'm able to afford it......would enable him to accept his deployed, that will be coming up for him around this May or June... As of this writing, he is stationed @ his MOS school, and he is the class leader, however, he informs me how there is only 2 other co-marines who currently have laptops with them now and EVERYBODY asks to use them!
