  • Can a bank take money without your permission?

My husband and I are seperated. I cannot afford a divorce. We had a joint checking account and he ran it into the negative. The bank said that I could not close the account out without a divorce. I then opened my own account with the same bank. Now my bank has taken money out of my account to pay off the joint account. Can they do this?

I have two cats, both three years, and they have always used the litter box. Now they have suddenly started uninating in my son's room and in my bathtub. They still poop in the litter box. • Washing Machine Noise?

I have an Amana Washing Machine, its about 5-7 years old. When the machine is agitating or spinning, it sounds like an small airplane about to take off. It was making that noise plus a squeaking noise but my husband adjusted the tension on the belt and that has stopped. Any clue on what is causing this grinding, spinning noise and how to fix it?

  • Runny Nose?

My 17 month old son has had a runny nose for a couple of days now. I've tried Benedryl and Dimitabb and its not working. I can't seem to find an over the counter medicine for just a runny nose. He doesn't have a cough, fever, or chest congestion. We don't have health insurance and I can't afford a doctor now, so please don't suggest it. Any mothers out there know of any products or home remedies for my little one runny nose? Thanks.

  • Ethical question about pets and children?

I lost my mother to Alzhemer's last year. She was my best friend and everything that a mother should be. When she died, she left behind a chihuahua. I promised her that I would take care of the dog. I now have a 16 month old son and the chihuahua has snapped at him a few times. He growls at my son and I know the best thing to do is give the dog away. He is a little old lady lap dog, not a family dog. I also feel that if I give the dog away, I'm going back on my word to my mother. I know that I'll feel guilty if and when the dog leaves. Part of me feels that the dog is my last connection to my mother, as stupid as that sounds. I want to set a good example for my son. I was raised that your word was your bond, but I can't have him bitten by the dog. Has anyone had a similar experience?

  • How do I customize ring tones for a Nokia 6103?

I just bought a Nokia 6103. I was told by Cellular One that I could customize rings by groups. I have figured out how to add to my group but not select a ring tone for that group. Anyone with this phone figured it out yet?

Yes, I've read the instruction manual and it doesn't have instruction on adding ringtones.

  • Question about hourly wage?

My husband just started a new job and his hourly job wage was set at $12.00 an hour. His boss made a rule that if you are late to work then your hourly wage for the pay period (two weeks) will be the federal minimum wage. I feel that the agreed upon rate is a verbal contract and the boss has broken that contract. Although I must admit, it is a great insentive not the be late for work. I'm wondering if its legal to cut a persons wages in this manor.

  • Acid Poop?

I have a sixteen month old son. Throughout his young life, he sometimes gets what my husband and I call 'acid poop'. Its yellow and watery and has an almost yeast like smell. If he poops his diaper at night, the next morning his bottom is blistered. We've never had a problem with diaper rash with him. This seems more like a burn than a rash. I had a doctor give me a prescription ointment once for yeast infection for him. The ointment didn't seem to work that well. We leave his diaper off for awhile and it clears up. Has anyone else had this problem or know what causes it?

  • How does a credit dispute work?

My husband and I moved into an apartment and we lived there for 18 months. Our first lease, my mother in law had to co-sign. That lease expired after 6 months and we signed another lease for a year by ourselves. About 3 months after that, another leasing company bought the apartment complex. After we moved out, we received a letter from the new lease company demanding $2400 in damages to the apartment. The damages included new carpet, paint, new locks, and cleaning. The carpet was worn and statined when we moved in. We did nothing to the walls that would require repainting. We didn't even hang photos on the wall. I have disputed this on my credit report. There is no way for them to prove that me and my husband did any damage because they did not see the state of the apartment when we moved in. On the same token, we cannot prove that we did not. They have also place this on my mother in laws credit report. She was not on the lease when we moved out. Any hope in resolving this? Thanks
