In September, 2011, my house caught fire and was deemed a total loss. We decided to not rebuild, and I informed the bank of this. In January when I received the check from the insurance company for the building, I endorsed it and sent it to their Loss Draft department, along with a letter of intent.

Now, they have filed foreclosure, and listed in the document, there is the full amount of the loan. Granted, the insurance draft was not for the full amount, but shouldn't they have at least taken off that amount?

Does anyone know what I can expect now?

About 7 years ago, I was friends with a co-worker. She had quit, and left our department in a bind. I was upset with her about that, but I got over it - and she never contacted me after that...UNTIL...

Two years ago, I was promoted within the department to Supervisor. After finding this out through the grapevine, she contacted me to tell me that she was tired of her job, and asked that I consider her if I should have any openings in the department in the near future. I was delighted to hear from her, and when a position opened up, I stuck my neck out for her (HR was going to overlook her due to job history). She was hired, and has been working here for the past year or so.

She and I are no longer friends, and sometimes, I have to bite my tongue just to be civil with her at work. Anyway, yesterday, I received an invitation to her wedding shower - a week from this Saturday, with a "wish" list. She's been living with her fiance for at least the last year.

Ever since I changed my headlight switch, the fuses for the dash/tail lights are popping every so often. It's getting worse, because I just changed the fuse on Saturday evening, and I had to change it again yesterday.

Any ideas why this is happening?

--it does have an aftermarket stereo that is probably wired funny, because I have to turn it off at the radio - it won't shut off on it's own when the car is turned off.

--It never did popped fuses before the headlight switch was changed.

I received a pre-approval slip from Target, and I applied for the credit card. After submitting my application, the slip said "requires further processing", and that they will contact me within 10 days. I just called the phone number for Credit Services to see if I could check the status of the processing, and all they told me was that I would receive a mailed response.

I was under the impression that if you applied from a pro-approval slip, you were guaranteed either a Target Visa card, or a Target Credit Card, as long as you could prove who you are, and could enter into a valid contract. Why the mystery, then?

There is a song that I've heard a few times that has almost the exact same guitar melody that is in "Take Me Out". Only this song is heavier, and I think the last line in the chorus is "like I'm standing still". WHO IS THIS?

I got contact lenses for the first time last Friday. I have been wearing them according to the schedule they gave me. However, I'm still not seeing as clearly as I did with my glasses. How long will it take for my eyes to adjust - or is it possible that they messed up my prescription?

I have astigmatism, but they said that I could wear either normal lenses or toric lenses. I'm going back to the eye doctor on Saturday, so if there is a problem, they will be able to take care of it then.

Last night, I tried to play a DVD on my computer. A couple of weeks ago, I had no problems doing this. Now, nothing happens. In searching for Windows Media Player, I couldn't find it.

Is there any way to restore it? I've checked in the Recycle bin, and it's not there. Is it possibly in the recycle bin under one of their user accounts?

I didn't want my son to be a thug, but I didn't want him to be a wimp, either. He's 15 years old, and having problems with some of the other kids in the neighborhood.

This boy who is younger than he is came to our door a few weeks ago, and said that he wanted to fight my son because my son supposedly beat up his younger brother. My son blew it off because he didn't, and ever since then, this boy, and two others, have been making his life hell. They are spreading rumors about him, and some of the other, older kids are calling him names, even when he's riding in the car with me.

Last night was it! These three boys took his bicycle, and dragged it into the woods and across the creek from our housing edition. What can I suggest to him to do? I hesitate to have him physically fight because these boys are younger than he is, but something has got to give.

I tried to change the headlight switch on my 1996 Cherokee last night. It is so hard to get to, and I couldn't even get the entire dash panel off because of the steering column being in the way.

When you change it, do you have to go through the dash, or can you somehow do it from underneath?

The girl across the "hall" from me is always staring over here. I don't know why she does this, but how can I stop her from doing it, without offending her? It is really starting to bug me - I can't work like this!

I JUST had a mortgage loan modification to pull my house out of foreclosure, and the last three month's payments have been on time, or at least before the 16th of the month. I can't pay my July payment until August 11th, and I will be sending my August payment on September 8th. I will be able to catch up after that. Will this be acceptable to my mortgage company, or will they immediately throw me back into foreclosure?
