How to get funding? Can't place orders fast enough?
My husband has a telemarketing sales business with 5 employees working from home. He has funded his company for years with cash. Due to new, higher personal expenses, he's finding himself running out of cash to buy products with. He has more and more orders to fill, but can't place them because he doesn't have the funds. He has to sit on orders, waiting 45 days for the payments from his previously filled orders. He's slipping behind, when all he needs is to keep up with all of the orders, but needs funds.
He has no personal credit, and when I say he should be able to get a finance company to fund him when he shows his history of orders and profit margins, he says it doesn't work that way.
Can anyone name some companies that can help in this situation? Or any advice?

In the trailer for Cosmos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb5tdqplTqQ
at time 0:28 there is a horrifying but incredible worm-like creature that appears to have four "legs" and an extruding mouth. It looks like something from another world, but appears to be real and not computer-animated. Does anyone know what it is?
4 AnswersZoology7 years agoWhat is this white, powdery substance growing on my cement?
I have a condo with stained cement floors that I need to get ready for rental. I stored tools and buckets in a closet and when I moved them out, the polyurethane had bubbled up and there was a powdery substance. I swept it up and swept away the loose polyurethane. A week later, this powder came back again. I need to clean, treat, and restain/poly to get the floor looking nice for the renter.

Is this some sort of salt or mold? Is it dangerous? How do I treat it so it doesn't come back?

1 AnswerLos Angeles8 years agoFirst dance song ideas expressing the idea that he can't dance, but I love him?
I'm planning a wedding first dance, but I'm a dancer and he's not. I'd like to find a cute and/or romantic song that says he can't dance but I love him anyway, or he can't dance but he's still great. We'll choreograph something fun and cute where I'm dancing mostly around him and maybe he's trying to pick up the moves. Any ideas? I Won't Dance by Fred Astaire comes to mind, but I'd like ideas more along the lines of what I described. (I'm a swing dancer, but any kinds of music could work.) Thanks!

2 AnswersWeddings9 years agoI have a product that MLMers may be interested in, how do I market it?
How do I market to MLMers and home-based business network marketers? I'm looking to get my product in front of them somehow. I've thought about going to hotels and looking for meetings, but that seems like a shot in the dark. I have been posting craigslist ads. I know how to get contacted by them if I'm looking for a home based business, but I don't want to be disingenuous or unethical. (Don't even want to advertise my product here, I'm looking for actual help in marketing.) FYI, It's a business card, and I'm a graphic designer. Ideas?
1 AnswerOther - Advertising & Marketing10 years agoPC music creation software with realistic sounding instruments?
I have a PC and a Casio WK-200 with MIDI. The problem is, I've made some music by playing the keyboard and recording it on the computer using Sound Forge, but my keyboard's instruments don't sound very realistic. Is there any software that can change the sound output from the keyboard, or perhaps allow me to make music from scratch? I'm looking for something with a free trial. Thanks!
1 AnswerSoftware10 years agoTranslation of Soweto Gospel Choir's Zulu song Shewane?
Hi! I love the song Shewane, and would love to sing it in English. Can you translate it to english? I've read that Shewane is the Zulu version of Modimo, and I've a found a basic translation online for Modimo, but I really don't know what line is which, and I don't believe what I've seen online is complete. It would be great if someone can type out each line in Zulu and English. I really don't want to sing the wrong line on the wrong part of the song. Thanks!!!!!
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoHow to prevent leg cramps in dance move?
I'd like to do this swing dance move: http://www.idance.net/lesson/1428
But even after an hour of warming up, dancing and stretching, I got charlie-horse cramps in my hamstring muscles when I tried to lock my ankles behind the guy's back (we're both thin). It didn't seem like I would have a problem, but I've never had to squeeze my leg muscles behind me this way. Is there a particular stretch or exercise that would help? Thanks!

Thanks!
1 AnswerParis1 decade agoIs it ok to run speaker wire underneath track lighting?
I just bought a track lighting system (which I'm going to plug into a standard outlet using the system's end power feed and cord). I'm also running the wires from my speaker system (for t.v.) across the wall in the same place that I'm placing the track lighting. So I'm planning to run the speaker lines underneath the track-- basically the lines will be placed on the ceiling and the track will be placed directly over it and screwed into the ceiling. (I will cut a small channel in the ceiling for the wire so the track can be flush without squeezing the wire.) The point is to have a single thin line of cords running together across the ceiling through the length of the track that looks like this:
-------wire----------[ track ]---------wire---------
In the world of electricity and interference and heat, etc. is it not a good idea to have the speaker wires in constant contact with the track, even if it's underneath? The speaker wires are standard clear, plastic-looking cords with the two silver metal wires visible inside. The track system is the Hampton Bay Transitional Collection from Lowes, and the track is metal-like, though it may be some other material coated to look like metal.
Thanks!
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoBest way to lengthen curtain panels?
I bought the longest panel curtains of the design I liked, but they're about 4 inches too short (not touching the ground, giving a "high-water" effect). I can't mount them any lower than they are.
These are the curtains I have, so you can see the fabric detail:
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/ZoomProduct.asp?SK...
My question is, how can I lengthen them? I've heard of buying a coordinating fabric and putting a band of that fabric somewhere on the curtain. Is that best done near the top, somewhere in the middle, or at the bottom? Is it cool to do more than one band? I have basic sewing skills. Are there any alternatives? I could buy another panel, cut it up and use it, but won't that be strange to have the same fabric patched in?
My decorating style is contemporary with Asian influences.
Thanks!
3 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoWould it be bad design to use small mosaic stone for countertops?
I'm getting new countertops put in, and can only afford ceramic tile. However, I happen to have a bunch of small mosaic stone (crema marfil 5/8" squares) that I was going to use on another project. Countertops are usually made with 4"x4" square or bigger. Would this be weird? Too much grout to clean? Has anyone ever done this before? Stone seems better than ceramic, but being so small, I'm thinking it may not be a good idea, design-wise and resale-wise. Your thoughts?

12 AnswersMakeup1 decade agoShould i return my pet rats?
Hi rat lovers!
I got 2 pet rats 3 months ago after reading about how great they are. I was looking forward to playing, tickling and scritching them. I found a breeder and got two girls. At first, they bit me a couple of times, and the breeder said that was strange, and to take the socializing more slowly. They don't bite now, and sometimes I can get them to crawl onto me, but they duck and dodge my hand when I try to pet them. It's very hard to get them to let me pick them up. It's VERY frustrating. I spend 10-15 minutes with them in the morning, and at least that long in the evenings and weekends.
The breeder seemed really good, but she had a LOT of rats (and mice) in a LOT of bins, so maybe she didn't have time to socialize them properly.
The rats are now almost 6 months old. Will things get better if I just hang in there, or are they a lost cause? Should I return them and find a new breeder?

6 AnswersRodents1 decade agoWhat are the limitations in designing a custom Type-V home?
Hi there,
I want to build a small (1000 sq.ft.)home on a TIGHT budget. I just want alot of open space, like a loft, but I'd also like HIGH ceilings, maybe slanted ceilings, plant shelves, inset lights or track lighting, maybe a couple of columns, etc. I'm told that a Type-V home is easy to get plans approved (the home will be in Los Angeles) and approvals can take over a year if the home is complex and the plans needs to be changed several times.
What cool stuff can and can't be done to Type-V standards? I've got a Type-V sheet, but I don't understand all the technical stuff. I'll get a builder to do the real plans, but I've got to give him a starting point. Feel free to point me to books/web sites, etc., and through in some ideas!
Thanks!!

If I were to build a fourplex or other apartment building. What would be involved in selling the units as condos? How does one go about creating an HOA? Are there any resources on the internet to read about this? This would be in either LA or Orange County.

How do I find a lot to rent for a mobile home (other than calling every mobile home park in the area.) Vacant mobile home lots seem to be impossible to find.
