  • Who can name the song I'm looking for? With lyrics like "pray for you"?

This is a total long shot because I don't remember much of this song. i heard it on the radio the other day, and it had a really beautiful melody but have no idea what it's called. It sounded like a dance remix, sung by a woman. The two most repeated refrains were "on and on and on" and "i pray for you." And no, it's not that country song by Jaron whatever....so, if you can guess, then you may actually be psychic. and of course i would appreciate it, cuz i'd love to hear that song again.

  • Where in Canada can you hike under frozen water?

In some parts of Canada during the winter, when the sea freezes over, the tide recedes and leaves large empty spaces under the ice. I know some Inuits lower themselves under the ice and look for mussels along the ocean floor before the tide comes back in. Is it possible to explore something like this as a tourist-traveler? How and where?

  • A question for nurses...how do I make a good impression with the nurse I'm about to shadow?

Since I'm considering nursing school, a family member has set me up with a nurse friend who'll let me shadow her during rounds. (She's a nurse anesthetist as far as I know). I'm planning on doing my "homework" and having some questions for her when i get there. But if a non-nurse were following you around on the job, what would you want them to do and not do?

(For all you wise guys who wanna give me joke answers, at least make them funny enough to make me laugh)

  • What kind of clothing did the Biblical Midianites wear?

I'd like some idea of what types of clothing and jewelry the Midianite/Moabite people would have worn around 1000 BCE

  • Will EMT training get me used to the sight of bad injuries?

I'm thinking of getting trained as an EMT, however I get upset at the sight of really bad injuries (e.g. severe wounds). I know I can eventually get used to it, but I'm wondering whether the typical EMT-basic training is enough to help me grow a thick skin? or is this is personality trait that I need to walk in with?

  • For surgeons or surgical students: is it easier or harder to operate on a patient you know and like?

I'm just curious. If you were familiar with a patient would it be harder to cut them open or would it be easier because you're more motivated to help them. Or does it make any difference at all

  • Can I take any online pre-requisite courses for a nursing degree?

I am about to take an overnight shift at a psychiatric hospital--40 hours per week, for one year. As it turns out, I'm not going to have to deal with patients that much, as they will be asleep. And i'll have about 1 hour of paperwork to do. Then 8-9 hours of free time. I'm thinking I'll use this time to take an online course for a second degree---what are your suggestions? I've been interested in going into nursing school. Can I take any online courses that might count towards RN credits?

I'm at a professional crossroads. I'm open to any suggestions.

  • Why don't hospitals allow friends to visit patients in the intensive care unit?

It's never been an issue for me, and hopefully it won't ever be. But I'm curious why hospitals only allow family members in the ICU and not close friends or boyfriends/girlfriends. What if the patient really wants that kind of visit?

  • How do I set up a Nintendo Entertainment System on my tv?

I just ordered one of the original Nintendo systems off of ebay but I realize I'm not plugging it in correctly to my computer. Can anyone tell me, in layman's terms, what I need and how do I set it up on my tv?
